Fruit Heights is a city of 4,700 about 20 miles north of Salt Lake City. When they speak of using dental records that suggests they already may have someone in mind.

Police said earlier in the week this is a homicide investigation until they learn otherwise, and in an update issued Saturday by the Davis County Sheriff’s Office authorities stated they are focusing their search efforts, “on the area surrounding the main gravesite which is toward the top of the hill. The gravesite meaning the area containing the majority of skeletal remains.”

The skull was found farther down the hill than the other remains, which official said could have occurred due to weather or animals shifting the remains. They also said the skull’s shape may have caused it to roll.

Ted Bundy killed a few around this area in the mid seventies who were never found... Hope they can identify this person soon. RIP.

This is a woman missing from Davis Co., since 1975, linked to Ted Bundy possibly.

Utah is Ted Bundy territory. It made me think of Debra Jean Kent who is missing from Bountiful. It looks like Bountiful is not very far from Fruit Heights. Maybe half hour? Hard to tell on map.

Actually Nancy Perry Biard is missing from Layton, Utah which is a mile from Fruit Heights.

She was in East Layton working at a service station and disappeared. I think it's very possible this could be her. Fruit Heights is on the South East side of Layton.

I agree with the reddit poster about the gender and race. The skull does look to my non-anthropologist eye to belong to a Caucasian female.

But looking at that skull, I'm not seeing Nancy Baird. Nancy has a long narrow nose. The nasal aperture on the skull looks too high and broad to be Nancy.

But Susan Powell - Perhaps. The shape of the nasal bone and the breadth of the nasal aperture looks quite consistent with Susan's nose.

Also, there are some very clear photos of Susan's teeth. And looking at the shape of the biting edges of the #6 and #7 teeth on the skull, they compare very similarly to the biting edges of Susan's #6 & #7. Also, the nasal spine (to which the columella of the nose attaches) is positioned low with respect to the borders of the nasal aperature, suggesting that the person's columella was positioned lower than the nostrils and alae. That is consistent with the shape of the bottom of Susan's nose.

I looked at your link and memories of everything I ever knew about Bundy just came flooding back. Gives me the creeps to this day!

If this SHOULD happen to be a Bundy "dumping ground" -- I wonder about the possibility that they've found indications of more than one body (more bones of one type than there should be for one individual).

Suggestions by the public of whom those bones will be identified as range from everything from a victim of Ted Bundy to an unsolved Davis County missing person.

Since the timeline pretty much excludes Susan Powell, I'm looking back at the missing known (or possible) Bundy victims.

Nancy Wilcox's photo shows her teeth pretty clearly on her right-hand side. I can see that her #6 and #7 teeth aren't shaped the same as those on the skull. The #6 canine is long and pointy, and extends below the adjacent incisor (#7)

Susan Curtis - Her nose seems broad enough compared to the nasal aperture. I can't see her #6 tooth to see how it aligns with the #7, but from what I can see, her teeth don't look similar. But Something about the shape of her face just doesn't look right in comparison to the skull.

Nancy Baird - As I stated upthread, the nasal aperture seems too wide compared to long narrow nose. I could be wrong, but that is my impression.

Debra Kent - She does look pretty close in terms of her facial shape. And she was LKA only 11 miles along a straight-line route down the highway from Fruit Heights. She also has a fairly broad nose (not at the dorsum, but at the alae). I can't see her #6 tooth very clearly in the photo, but from what I can see, it doesn't appear to descend below the #7 incisor like the skull's #6. It's hard to tell for sure though.

Can any of you anthropology buffs tell if the missing teeth were lost antemortem or postmortem?

I know nothing of skulls and apertures but the third tooth to the left of missing center teeth looks like it was rotted or had a cavity/filling on the side. Any dental records on file indicate something like that?
