This is fairly local to me, I'm in Burradon which is about 6 miles away. I'm seeing a lot of shares on Facebook and several unsubstantiated rumours about sightings etc which I won't post until there's any verified information.
I hope she's found safe but underage drinking with the river Tyne...
I just kind of wanted to check into this thread because I've not been around Websleuths much lately (no real reason) but this case drew me in straight away and saddened me a great deal. I guess I can tell I'm out of practice with sleuthing as I was thinking "oh she'll just have had a medical...
I feel for her friends, noone wants to cut their own night out short because a friend is too drunk to get in somewhere, and you'd think by getting her into a taxi home that that was enough. I've done the same plenty times, both helping others and being helped myself.
That was a fascinating case, I remember hiding in the toilets at work reading updates! I browsed for ages before signing up but I joined for Terrilynn Monette.
I don't think he'll be charged with murder, maybe abduction though. I've a horrible feeling they are clutching at straws in terms of...
Sincere condolences to Kevin's family and friends, particularly the family who posted here and shared Kevin's life with us. You've done an amazing thing in finding him.
I'm from Newcastle, and similar in age (33) to Michael but I don't recall having heard about his case before. He does look a little familiar, so maybe I've seen his picture or skim-read an article, but there certainly hasn't been a great deal of coverage.
His poor father, it sounds like he's...
Just watched this video to remind myself of some of the details. I feel so bad for her father.
It doesn't seem like much is ongoing in terms of solving the murder.
RIP Carla.
I'm not surprised the guard has been arrested; he really managed to talk himself into trouble quickly with that 5am story. Aside from that, it's crazy that such an offhand comment ("I'm going to ask the guard for some water") pointed everyone straight in the right direction. Nice...
I hope they didn't delay searching the property because of the whole "she left voluntarily" thing.
This isn't looking good for the security guards and the rest of the 5am crew.
Warm wishes to Kevin's family members who have joined us here. It's always a very sobering reminder that we are talking about real people with loved ones.
I don't have much to add, and I'm afraid I'm pretty fearful for a happy outcome here, but I wanted to chime in briefly because I am...
I can't speak with certainty for Aberdeen, but every bus I've used in the UK has involved buying a single trip ticket on the bus itself from the driver, unless you have an existing travel pass which is just showed to the driver/placed on a card reader.
