What amazes me is people that are willing to strap him up and nail him to a cross without knowing anything about him, his family, his background, his service record, his actions and movement in Iraq. How do you know it is ? Do you know this Marine personally? Many of our soldiers...
Unfortunately, it is not that simple. It depends on what the circumstances were and what story he is able to come up with. He could easily say he was saving the family's honor from the mother and that will be that....because a man's name/honor is worth ten times that of a woman/child.
I feel...
It just goes to show how Iraq can mess with these guys heads. With the amount of PE's that the Marines put their guys through, I find it hard to believe that he was this messed up in the head before heading to the war.
You are making my point for me.
Too many people use the TV, internet, video games etc....to "watch" their kids for them. It has become all too easy to let the boob tube take our children off our hands, if only for a while, and know they are safe sitting in our living rooms....but are they...
A standard search on MSN said it was rated R. Not that difficult to research a movie that you are taking your 15 year old to.....The movie poster itself can tell you that there is sexually explicit material....but if that isn't enough......
MPAA Rating R - for sequences of strong sexual...
Then stop taking your daughter and her boyfriend to see R rated movies!
Not the media's fault that you made the conscience decision to take them....how is that you made the decision, but the media is at fault?
Exactly my point. It is YOUR responsibility as a parent to manage (to the best extent possible) and monitor what your child is watching and hearing. If you don't like what is being shown on TV, use your ratings system and sensor it yourself, or just cancel your cable subscription.
Now I am...
Are you serious? Are you blaming a horrific act like this on the media? Where are these kids parents while they are watching MTV and cruising for *advertiser censored* on the internet?
IMO, this is a clear case of neglect on the boys parents.
This is the cutest story!
Yes it could have been tragic....BUT IT WASN'T, was it?
I can't even begin to tell you the stories from my childhood....with REAL cars!!!
As he read his ruling from the bench this morning, Justice William Brodrick argued that "the best outcome for this family would be to somehow get back together."
Awesome....same mentality that send hundreds of kids to their deaths every year....
The real pity here is that the entire justice...
It won't ever stop. Unfortunately, these people are always on the lookout for their next victim....and who are the easiest victims?
It is a crying shame, but true.
Amen!
It is hard to believe that the very system designed to protect these children is the very one sending them to be tortured and abused. I understand that the system is overwhelmed, but how can you not investigate such a report of blatent abuse?
I am terribly vexed.
Stories like this are the reason why I have to take this site in small doses.
I commend all of you who come here everyday and read the horror stories like this hoping to make a difference in a childs life.
I just don't have the stomach.
