OH - Pike County: 8 people from one family dead as police hunt for killer(s) #4

Yes. I'd imagine that was what it would be like. I initially thought it would be in $100 increments.

Strange. Usually people from well off families don't join the military...it's also extremely rare for people to get wealthy while being military careerists. I wonder where they made their money?

OH - Pike County: 8 people from one family dead as police hunt for killer(s) #3

Its almost impossible to predict what people will do in stressful situations. I couldn't imagine walking in and finding my family slaughtered. I have no idea how I'd react. IMO

Isn't the arraignment for JC today? Does anyone know what time? I'm looking forward to new info on this case.

I think she said in an earlier People magazine article that he called her a horrible mother.

I think I read that they both worked at Burger King. I don't have a link, sorry.

I was wondering if hunting rifles were used? Police would probably not have any ballistic records for guns used exclusively for hunting and not used previously in the commission of a crime.

You mentioned trail cameras before...where did you hear this? It might not give up much info other than time of attack, number of attackers and general height and weight (possible sex). I assume the killer/killers heads were covered....JMO

That makes sense...although w the sheriff talking about the lack of evidence left at the crime scene, I'm assuming they picked up spent rounds and casings.

32 gunshot wounds but only 18 items of evidence?!? WTH!

I was thinking the same thing. The TOD must have been very close to her arrival...leading to suspicion.

Its possible she arrived with a dog. Many dog owners would say we just arrived.

I think BettyP answered my question...I had misconstrued Leonard's statement "ask the nursing home" to mean they knew something. But, I see he might have been referring to their vouching for her being a good person and not a Breaking Bad type.

Good question. it could be a large entity that owns dozens around the country or a privately owned one. I'm not even sure what the name of the place is due to it coming out garbled in the interview w Leonard.

I doubt it's connected but many nursing homes are very abusive to their residents. Maybe Dana was appalled at what she had witnessed there and had filed a complaint against the entire management firm. Still, I'm curious what the nursing home could possibly know about this murder
