I went back and rewatched the nurses testimony, and the video again. I do think a hit to that area of the head can be quite disorientating. He hit it hard enough to have a bruise. I’m surprised that hasn’t been touched on more by defense.
It’s kind of equivalent to how people shout “world star” imo, and not so much as saying for the greater good. They did touch on it in his testimony which is when he said it meant for the greater good.
I am so vested in these closing arguments. They could really impact how the jury swings, I don’t think I’ve followed a case where I feel like it could really go either way(maybe the Holly Bobo case), and I think it really will come down to who does a better closing.
Not sure about force, but my little pink Swiss Army knife is super sharp as I found out by accident. I was folding it and not paying attention and it closed on the pad of my finger tip and sliced it clean off. I keep mine to cut ropes I use on my truck for tying things down. I also think the...
What makes you think he felt he could anymore than the numerous other people who touched him? I do think it looks like he stumbled when he approached their tubes, and grabbed on to the tubes to balance himself. None of the boys seems scared at that point, maybe weirded out, but not fearful...
Interestingly, I don’t usually listen to drunk people screaming at me, especially if I feel I am doing something I have a right to. The truth is, it was a foolish situation all the way around, made worse by drinking and drugs, people inserting themselves into the situation, and finally...
I think *most* of us are used to being treated a certain way no doubt.
we will just have to agree that we see this very differently. I don’t believe he stabbed anyone for telling him to leave, and after the trial, I don’t think there is any evidence that I missed that would change my mind on...
I think the way he described it as falling looks pretty accurate, looks like he stepped into slightly deeper water. Either way - that immediate encounter didn’t lead to them hitting him, so clearly they didn’t feel attacked by him?
According to his testimony he was trying to tell MC but she was talking over him.
I find it interesting, the girls touching him while screaming at him don’t seem to bother anyone, but him touching the tubes/legs in the beginning of the video is perceived much more maliciously. When I watch...
I think that’s a really unfair comparison. This man had every right to be there, looking originally for a phone, then his snorkel. She rolled up and he was thinking ah, an adult, relief and sanity, to just have her get in his face aggressively and curse at him.
I think a better comparison...
I think it’s a bit dismissive to say that because RM was 115lbs she wouldn’t be hitting him…I’ve seen many a small woman jump into fights. He didn’t chase her down to stab her, so she had to be relatively close. I think he 100% was being driven by fear and was just stabbing at anyone near him...
I really think it would have gone differently had she not approached like she did, there was a small grease fire, and she threw water on it IMO. I really think it’s a shame her testimony was allowed to not be shown. Do you happen to know if the transcripts have been released from her testimony?
But no one was stabbed until NM was attacked was the point I was making.
As far as being a loose cannon, I haven’t heard anything that supports that, at least via trial.
I don’t think she did anything but escalate the situation tbh. Yelling in someone’s face and cursing at them isn’t what I would consider a valid attempt at calming the situation.
