Interesting letter from EJ for someone who was once deemed "Incomepetent". She sure does know all the legal jargon, that I doubt would be learned in a short amount of time.

Yeah, for someone trying to be let off as "incompetent", she sure sounds way too competent when it comes to firing lawyers. Didn't she fire her old Vanessa Smith on similar grounds?

Agree danisisa... I never believed she was incompetent, just glad she has to go to trial.

BTW, what is the source of funds for her private lawyer???

Here's a thought EJ, if you didn't kill or give away Gabriel in the first place, maybe you wouldn't need these lawyers who aren't doing their jobs good enough for you... or you can just tell the truth, and pay for your crimes by serving your sentence, and stop blaming the lawyers for your jail stint.
 
I don't know. Sounds completely without logic or reason to me, and that she has completely unrealistic expectations, and lacks understanding of how the world works in her current situation.
 
I'm sure she had a template to write that letter...either one of her friends or family members on the outside, maybe someone who works for an attorney; sent her an example letter, or she has access to legal correspondence examples in jail.

EJ logged in to her myspace account on 10/06/2010, the day she wrote the motion. Except for one message in July from AS, a friend, that account has been dormant. I check it on a regular basis and this is the first activity from her that I have seen. I thought she was on full restriction for bad behavior so I was surprised that she has access to the internet. She could email a friend for help or just surf the net for how to draft a pleading.

Do inmates get access to Myspace etc? Seems a little odd to me but hey I've never been an inmate.

Hi Beane- Maybe the status conference was changed to the 10/27. That's what is listed for both TPS and EJ on the high profile list.

Looks like tomorrow @ 8:30 for Pre-trial conference. From what I gather, cameras will be present, too.
 
Camera's might be there but I'm betting TPS won't be. :dance:

Vanessa Smith reappointed as counsel. Alcock out but remains as "Knapp" counsel- maybe AZ can explain that.

A motion to compel interview was granted. Not sure if this is Salame or someone else. (the court refers to the 10/27/2010 0rder.)

Motion to modify release conditions denied.

Re Motion to Dismiss, prosecutors to respond by 11/01. Reply brief due 11/08. Oral argument 11/22/2010 at 9:30 a.m.

Last day remains March 20, 2011
