Luke 12:2-3
2 There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known. 3 What you have said in the dark will be heard in the daylight, and what you have whispered in the ear in the inner rooms will be proclaimed from the roofs.

Donnau- thank you for posting this youtube interview on the anniversary. My heart goes out to you on this day. You are an inspiration for keeping up the fight....I wish you didn't have to be.

I plan to come back and research on Thursday, when I'm off work. Please know you are loved, and that people hear your voice.

Thanks, Wyome! I so appreciate your kind comment and interest in my son's case. Sometimes I just want to shout to the rooftops..."is anybody listening??!!?? and does anybody else really even care?", but I know in my heart that really doesn't even matter...I know I have no choice but to go forward, as slow as it may seem at times, I know I have to be Daniel's voice until there is some justice for him and his children. God bless you, Donna

I just started reading about Daniels case on this thread. My heart is out to you Donna.

Hi Donnau! Can you help show me what you're referencing in this photo?

I've got some general comments and questions...here goes:

1. The first words out of R's mouth in the formal interview is "umm when can I get his wallet?" WOW. And that didn't raise any eyebrows that this case may be related to greed?

2. R's statement: "We never have arguements." Another red flag.

3. Then, "Everything was hunky dory."

4. R's statement: "We have been living off his 401K." She has a job, keep in mind. Another red flag. Why would they not be living off HER salary. Nobody lives off their 401K in their 30s without a HUGE amount of stress and tension.

5. R: "Yes, I use his checking account and everything." She has a job, but no checking account of her own?

6. When asked when they woke up that day, R responds, "Around one o'clock in the afternoon." She claims they went to sleep at 2 or 3 a.m. That seems really odd to me. That's 10 or 11 hours of sleep....that seems extra long to me. I wonder if they really got up together, or if one lingered in bed as a way to avoid the other.

7. R: "I got up and got in the shower I went by my mother’s office and did some work over there for about an hour and a half to two hours I had some movies that I needed to take back to family video so I called him and asked him if he wanted to run to the video store with me and he said yes and came by and picked me up." a) How did she get to her mother's office? Did Daniel drive her to work, and then 1 1/2 hours later she makes him pick her up again to return some movies? b) She doesn't own a car?

Continued.....

8. 1-2 hours at work that day....and she's hourly employee? What'd she make...$15 bucks that day? Was that a pattern for her, to work 1-2 hours a day, or was this typically how she worked?

9. Later she says she clocked out shortly after 3:00, then said "Picked him up and we went and dropped the movies off...." I thought she said he "picked her up"?

10. R states: "Nina the old bartender over there was getting irate with everybody at the bar." So pissed, as a matter of fact, that we learn in the interview that Nina grabs R by the hair and violently pulls her off a barstool. WHAT the heck happened there? Bartenders are usually there to just do their jobs and make money. SOMETHING happened to not only tick her off, but make her take on "bouncer" mode on Rebecca. Are there police interviews from bar patrons and Nina? Was Nina fired? According to R, Nina was escorted out and they stayed and played pool.

If someone attacked me, grabbed my hair and pulled me off a barstool, and my boyfriend had to lock her arms behind her to keep her from continuing the assault....well, I'd be gathering my things and leaving promptly. I'd be BESIDE myself, shaking and upset. R just says that after Nina was escorted out, "everything was fine." She must be one tough chick to shake something like that off so quickly.

My comments and questions to part 2 of R's interview will follow in a little bit. I just wanted to write some things down because it helps me sort things out.

Hi, Wyome! I appreciate your comments and observations on all of this...It's been so long since I posted about the pic, I don't remember if I was just wanting confirmation that there was a cig put out on the hall floor, which seemed very odd, or if I was talking about the blood pattern...I am on my laptop, so I can not zoom in and see the pics as good as I could on my old computer.
I saw the same red flags that you have commented about, and every time I questioned the officer...he would say something like..."her stories are consistent" ... yes, I suppose they are, IF you are talking about "consistent" lies....and what really got me was her TWO versions of what happened...
*1st Interview: Rebecca said Daniel, without speaking, bent his head over barrel, and gun shot.
*2nd Interview: Rebecca said she stood back up and the gun went off, she was 6" away him & they were standing face to face to each other when it went off.
It could not of happened BOTH ways...
and then her admitting that Daniel had a large sum of cash missing......(and Rebecca said she like to keep count of (Daniel's) money)....wow.......it was like nothing she said seem out of the ordinary to those officers.

Part 2 of 9/4/08 interview:

Comments and Questions:

1. R and Daniel leave bar to meet Maria at home, Robin follows. They pile in one car and head to East Fork for Karaoke. Get there around 9:45 - 10:00 p.m. This is first time we hear about "Robin" -- a longtime friend of Maria's. I find it interesting that these people are all "friends" of R. Not that there's anything wrong with that necessarily, but I find it interesting that the entire evening was spent with R's friends, driving to do Karaoke -- something that R wanted to do. It seems that Daniel was along for the ride that night, dropping the cash, with people that he was not particulaly close with. Outside of his being fed up with R, did he even mention liking or trusting any of her friends?

2. ATMs...AFTER their evening, they drive to two ATMs. One wouldn't read the card, so they stopped at another one. This bothers me because one usually gets cash out before they go out, not right before they go home. Unless they needed gas, which R states they just stopped by the lounge to talk to a Tony for 5-10 minutes, then went right home. Unless they needed cash for the morning for some reason, but doesn't offer that. Why was it so important that she take out $60 at midnight?

3. When asked how much money was taken out, R said, "Sixty. That’s what he told me to get out."

When asked did you take it out or did he take it out? R said, "I did that’s what he told me to take out."

R keeps insinuating that it is all at Daniel's direction, yet the whole evening was about her and her friends. Those statements make me uncomfortable.

Also, he's unusually quiet during the ride home per R. She says she assumes he's just had too much to drink. Well then why make three trips on the way home (two ATMs and the lounge to talk to Tony?)

4. After they arrive home and Robin immediately gets in her car and goes home, R states that they were going to watch a movie before going to bed. The subject of checking the bank balance was brought up as something they did "every night and every morning we do that every night and every morning." But when the interviewer asked her who was checking it, she said he was. They just came from an ATM...if BOTH of them were hyper-sensitive about balances, why wouldn't SHE have printed out a receipt? Why would she not have any idea that there was only $42 left in checking?

5. When the interviewer asks if they were planning on making any big purchases, or just paying off bills with the 401K, R said:
"No, not really. Not that I know of. I know that he was replacing this ring cause it was actually his youngest son’s first engagement ring for his girl when he gets older. And um he had always (laughs) told me this ring wasn‘t big enough, 5 karats wasn’t big enough. And I said I don’t care, and I don’t know if he ever purchased one yet or not. I just know there was a big lump of sum of money that was gone. SO I assumed that’s what he did because some of the rings that he was looking at online…" Daniel gave R a 5 karat diamond ring? But he was looking to replace it? Is this the ring she was trying to sell at a bar after his death?

6. Later, the interviewer pins her down and discovers that the missing lump sum of money was in cash, kept in a stein. Interviewer: Ok. So the so the $2000 wasn’t unaccounted for out of your checking account but it was unaccounted for in cash. R agrees. Then my question is, did Daniel check the stein that night, and that's when he contronted her; or did he learn about the missing sum earlier, and the partying and ATM trips and powwows with "friends" outside closed bars tip things over the edge?

_______________

I'm going to stop for now, because I don't want to overwhelm with too many questions, and Donnau's insights on these may very well answer a lot of my future questions as well! Thanks for letter me go on and on and on and on.....

1. Robin (whom her last name is supposedly not known) was NEVER questioned by the police! ...........
Daniel, never mentioned Rebecca's friends to us at all, Wyome...
2. & 3. Maria (eye-witness) says that Rebecca had gotten a text on Daniel's phone from Tony (Tony tells the officers later that he thought it was Rebecca's phone because she had been using it to contact him) telling her that he has hydrocodone pills for her, and Maria says they go back up there and Rebecca gets them from him. Of course, Tony also tells the officer that he did not get her any pills. (but the text on Daniel's phone says he did have them) The officer never questions Rebecca as to where the $ 60 is...no cash is found on Daniel.

4. I do not know why she did not get a receipt. But in one of the police reports it states something like...Daniel must have been checking the account because there was a lit cig in a ashtray by the laptop........well in the CS photos, there is NO lit cig and NO ashtray...but there is a coke can (she always drank whiskey & coke-Daniel only drank beer) and there were TWO packages of her brand of cig on the table (Daniel smoked Marlboro)
(*and this makes me think of the laptop....there is a pic of his bank statement on it....the time on the bottom of the screen shows the time to be over an hour...maybe a hour and 15 mins later, I'd have to check again to say exactly...but anyways most normal banks log you out after approx 10 mins or so (I did check with his bank too-10 mins) and the screen saver also comes on AND the laptop had two users on it...one was Daniel's side and the other was his ex-wife's side...and the computer would go to the screen where you would have to choose which side to go back too....soooo, I've always wondered how the officers managed to take a pic of Daniel's bank statement and it still be showing on the inactive computer... unless someone went to all the trouble to "log back in"......always made me wonder about that...
5. The ring she had on was one of Daniel's ex-wife's rings...and yes it was ONE of the rings she tried to sell at the bar...she also had stole several more and was trying to sell them.

6. Maria says he was confronting her about missing money.
