I just found this interesting link linking him to Danny Barter. There is also links on this page to the warrent information someone in this thread was looking for. There are the records of the pedophiles in seitz family there too. The link will not post but it is from Sacred Monkeys.

Thanks rpipergirl. I think (think being the operative word, lol) that has been mentioned here before. If I'm not mistaken it was drivenon that first pointed it out that she was putting together a bit of info on it. I'm guessing she's someone we can't link to in websleuths.
I just checked to see if anything new had been posted regarding the possible link between Barter and Seitz... nothing new posted since mid-February - for those who had already read there.
I get an ill feeling that we're not going to hear much more, if anything at all, on Seitz.

WEll the man being a barber would have quite a bit of access to boys. And to hair. BUt not really to shoes alone by themselves, and the cannibilism is really scary to me. You shouldnt find tufts of peoples hair around your place even if your doing barber work at home, its generally swept up and considered cut hair not tufts. Something not right or good about all of this. A barber would have a lot of customers and if they talked alot he could get plenty of info about them especially if they came in frequently.

Some suggestions.. not like I expect them to be pursued or anything, but here they are:
There were cassette tapes found in Vernon Seitz's home, listed on the MPD's property receipt directly underneath his "manuscript". If these tapes have Vern's voice on them, wouldn't it be useful to select certain edits and play these for Jacob W's friend Aaron L. and brother Trevor W. so they could listen to this man's voice and give inv. a sense of whether it is familiar or not to them? Even if time has clouded their memory, if say, Vernon's voice was very very different and "high/nasal" whereas say the voice they perhaps remember from Oct. '89 was "low/deep/gruff" this could be at least an exclusionary element that could at least be examined to give inv. a sense of whether all this Vern business should be pursued to the max, however small, or not. (That is not to say he shouldn't be carefully looked at.. but perhaps he really was just a freakish wannabe treejumper, not THE treejumper the world is looking for with regard to little Jacob.)
For that matter have either of these two earwitnesses ever heard an example of Dan Rassier's voice for comparison?
25 years is a long time, too long for all of us who remember this.. with the anniversary coming up in October this could serve to remind the Wetterling family that all possible avenues are being looked at, and would serve to keep this case in the public's eyes and ears.
Also: It seems as if this video of Jacob pre-abduction may just be something this creep-o Vern hoarded as part of his obsession taped off-the-air. We can only assume the Wetterlings have seen it and clarified this. If it were in fact some pre-abduction reconnoiter or targeting tool, the Wetterling family would obviously recognize it wasn't anything any of them had created or taped.
Observations: The area has significantly changed with development in 25 years.. I have examined various USGS and satellite photos of scene of this abduction from the 80s and have the weirdest hunch: This perp perhaps knew these kids were heading up to the video store before they even left the Wetterling's home~ he watched them from the "rustling brush" the boys spoke about on their way to the Tom Thumb Video Store, and was all-too-ready for them when they returned. That's no coincidence period. Remember these boys twice called Mr. & Mrs. Wetterling (for permission) at a party prior to leaving their home to go rent a copy of Major League or Naked Gun. External to that house it would have been next-to-impossible to determine when these boys would be:
A- Home with no parents around,
and
B- They would be leaving the home alone.
This was a relatively rural area in 10/1989. Did this area have a "party-line" telephone in 1989? Treejumpers do not just randomly sit in rural ditches at 9pm waiting for their next victim for hours for no reason. My sense is there was some sort of intel pickup ongoing prior to the abduction. Either an intercept that exploited the "party-line" or some simple devices. These could be a "beige" used to tap into phone lines (which can be made quite simply from a junk phone in a pinch) and/or local AM/FM bugging of the home or localized telephone lines. In short, it seems unlikely that this goof would just sit and wait for boys or girls that fit his tastes to come randomly riding along. No way Jose. Without Telco charting from 1980s, or interviewing techs from that time, it would be very difficult to discern, but it appears from the lines in the area in 1989, the Wetterling's lines left their cul-de-sac and route North, along the same route.
Either he was onto a routine pattern these boys had established (unlikely, too much exposure~ time consuming) or he had direct info - there really aren't many other conceivable ways about it people. Supposition of above would indicate of course at least some degree of technical understanding on the part of the treejumper.
More- It should be noted that in 1989 Dan R's property was all-but parallel to, but somewhat hidden from.. these boys' route to and from the Tom Thumb convenience store. I.e. that is to say that starting from that ditch/crossroads, there are two routes to that store. One is the public road and the other route is to hook across Dan R's property. So, while unlikely, even if it wasn't Dan R., it would be a route the pedo took to "observe" them at the Tom Thumb as some people have claimed a stranger pressed their face to the window watching these kids. Also, by foot or by wheels, that area "looks" rural but has excellent egress routes to an interstate as well as a straight shot to a rail R.o.W. that cuts thru town, both to the North. It seems that in fact Dan R's property certainly was "busy" that night one way or the other.
Lastly- The whole story about being abducted and forced to shoot some kid during abuse smacks of the JG claims from the Johnny Gosch paperboy case. Did Vernon.. obsessive about missing kids' cases, glean that from the Gosch case or might it be the other way around somehow? He was supposedly telling his mental health specialist this story for the better part of 11 years.

EXACTLY! This has gone through my head SO many times, both before and after the case was solved. How can authorities justify NOT doing this? Or having them look at him in a line up. Perhaps because they knew he wasn't the right guy and were only naming a POI because an election was coming up?
