COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -- Crews are investigating the discovery of a body near the Veteran's Memorial Bridge on the Council Bluffs side of the river.

Investigators confirmed that the body is that of a white woman.

Sgt. Jerry Mann, with the Council Bluffs Police Department, said his office was first contacted at about 2:30 a.m. Friday. A pest control worker reported seeing the body in the river, according to Mann.

The area is residential with a number of mobile homes.

The body was removed and sent to the state lab in Ankeny for identification.

So far, investigators have not linked the discovery to the disappearance of Tracy Tribble, 35, of Council Bluffs, who was last seen on May 3; or that of Jessica O'Grady, 19, of Omaha, who was last seen May 10.

This body is a different one than the one that was identified as Amber, correct? Someone posted info on Amber being found and I don't want to be confused...

Yes, this one is different. Hard to believe so many bodies lying around like trash. :(

thanks Kelly I know this must be extremely hard for you. I admire all you do.

Kelly I to want to thank you and I can not Fathom how hard this is for you. It looks like after 3 today we might have another closure of one of either missing woman.

Any news on the press conference? I checked the news and haven't seen anything...

This is totally incrediable!!!Another Angel sent up. I hope the look at Hubby really hard

I find something so sad about the thread being moved quickly. No offense because it is what it is. I think it is just me assimilating all of these tragedies too quickly. These precious angels cannot be forgotten.

Kelly has been a beacon for making everyone understand. Her tireless effort makes me want to be better. I can see that everyone who participates wants to be better too. Kelly, if you read this know that so many families are
thanking God for your existence and your willingness to go the extra mile.

In all this tragedy, and there is so much, the people who come together to help others are truly the blessed. And, Kelly, for one, leads the way.

Tracy was a vibrant human being who deserved the best effort life had to offer. Someone took this away from her. I know I am a little premature in this, but it is my opinion.

Lots of tears all the way around for so many victims of crime.

Hello Gardenmom,
Sorry,I posted the wrong link.

I heard about Tracy on the news last night. Such a shame. She was such a pretty young lady. I also heard that her husband has been arrested which wasn't any surprise to me. I just can't understand why these men think murder is the answer. They get caught over and over again. Why not just let the wife go? My thoughts and prayers are with Tracy's family.

Bobbisangel,
I can't find a link to the husband's arrest...maybe because it's the weekend.

Bobbisangel's post says she heard the husband was arrested. No links that I have seen to that effect.
