The elements that finally gave up the location of Mrs Baden-Clay would now act as vital clues in solving her murder.

The search for the missing mother-of-three ended yesterday at 11am when a canoeist discovered a woman's body on the bed of Kholo Creek, not far from where it joins the Brisbane River at Anstead in the city's west.

That officially began the hunt for Mrs Baden-Clay's killer.

The Courier-Mail also understands:

• The search for clues will take in a Scout camp upstream from where Mrs Baden-Clay's body was found.

• Police are hopeful of finding her mobile phone after narrowing the location of the key missing item to an area spanning 150m.

• Police believe the killer could have taken Mrs Baden-Clay's body to the area as early as 8pm on Thursday April 19.

Drivers with cars similar to Gerard Baden-Clay quizzed in hunt for wife Allison's murderer

POLICE are questioning western suburbs residents with cars similar to those driven by Gerard Baden-Clay about their movements on the night the real-estate identity's wife disappeared.
The Courier-Mail understands one local woman, who owns a silver Holden Captiva, was questioned at the weekend on whether she had driven through the Kenmore roundabout at the intersection of Moggill and Brookfield roads on Thursday, April 19 - the night Mrs Baden-Clay was last seen alive.

In an apparent bid to clarify reported sightings and rule out various vehicles in the area, the woman was also asked whether she had recently pulled her car over to the side of Mt Crosby Rd.
