Kampfer Clarifies Hailey Dunn Statements, Admits Death 'Not Conclusive'

City Manager Pete Kampfer on Tuesday told KTXS News – specifically for the first time – that law enforcement officials have reasons to believe that missing Colorado City teen Hailey Dunn is deceased.

More than three months and still no sign of missing 13-year-old Hailey Dunn.

Colorado Middle School Counselor, Emily Strain, said Hailey's disappearance has been tough on everybody.

"You can't prepare yourself for this. It's like nothing you've ever experienced," she said.
 
Toombs also told the paper that investigators are waiting to receive evidence from crime labs before presenting a case to a grand jury with regard to child *advertiser censored* allegedly found on computers and digital storage devices used by Shawn Adkins, the boyfriend of Hailey’s mother and the only person of interest named in her disappearance.

Scope of Hailey Dunn reward changed, officials believe she is deceased

‘Safe return' omitted from specifications

Thousands of images of child *advertiser censored* were discovered on a computer confiscated from Adkins' mother's home in Big Spring. Images of child *advertiser censored* were found on a memory stick seized from the Dunn home.
Three weeks ago, investigators seized another computer from Adkins' grandmother's home in the community of Dunn in Scurry County, along with other electronic devices.
So far, the evidence from the most recent electronic seizures has not been received by investigators.

Search Group Explains Hailey Dunn Merchandise Sales

The group behind t-shirts being sold to raise awareness about missing 13-year-old Hailey Dunn sent out a statement detailing where proceeds for shirt sales are being spent.
Kristy Lloyd says money made from merchandise sales goes directly into the Hailey's Search fund set up at the City National Bank in Colorado City.

Hailey's Dad Arrested after Showing Up Late to Court

Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs said by the time Clint Dunn had arrived, the judge had already issued a warrant for his arrest.

Today's 9 a.m. court appointment was related to the marijuana and expired license charges. Toombs said he did not know how late Dunn arrived.

Shortly after being released, Dunn posted the following message on his Facebook page:

another one of those days that didnt go very good. le wants me to give up so they can close the case.ITS NOT GONNA HAPPEN! where is hailey darlene dunn?shes out there somewhere, somebody knows something. please dont give up on her.....

DA hasn't received *advertiser censored* evidence

“I'm not sure which agency recovered the alleged evidence, but I'm sure the computer has been handed over to federal or state law enforcement by now,” District Attorney Hardy Wilkerson said Tuesday. “However, until the evidence and a report is handed over to our office, there's nothing we can do to prosecute the alleged crime. It also depends whether or not the feds want it.”

Racy Cell phone pics have been posted on several FB sites.

"Sheriff Toombs couldn't definitively say whether Billie Dunn is a person of interest in her daughter's disappearance.

"There [are] just some strange things that have gone on, so that's why she's not been ruled out, but she's not also being named a suspect in the case either," Toombs said."
