What did you do to Shelly Tyler, where is she?

Let's hope if the ex did this, he was not too creative as to where he left Shelley. So often, they end up using a spot on or near their own property.

I think about Shelley every day. I worry about her daughter every day. Every day I sense that her ex did something very bad to her. Dear God- please let Shelley be found!!!!!

Woods near Mook home searched

"Tyler Mook, who is being termed a "person of interest" by Sheriff Randall Boyce, has moved out of the house and now lives in Franklin County, Barrett said. A 'No Trespassing' sign was on the front of the house Thursday."

Restraining Order Issued Before Woman Went Missing

Shelley Mook's burned out car was discovered Feb. 28. The last person she was seen with was her ex-husband, Tyler Mook, who is officially a person of interest in the case.

At the time of Mook's disappearance, Channel 4 learned that Tyler Mook was arrested after being suspected of theft and charged with reckless endangerment, a case where Mook said her ex-husband ran her and her daughter off the road.

Within 24 hours of Shelley Mook's disappearance, Tyler Mook had his entire police record expunged. Currently, there is nothing on his police record.

What the heck? This would have been prior to her being reported missing correct? Pretty suspicious timing on his part.

Channel 4 has also learned that at least one call was made to the Department of Children's Services that reported that the couple's 6-year-old daughter showed signs of physical abuse. DCS confidentiality policy does not allow for them to confirm or deny if the Mook home was under investigation.

Shelly did not strike me as the abusive type, so that leaves one other person. Isn't it lovely that he is the one with custody of her now, just great. I hope DCS is making home visits and Lilly's school has been contacted so they are on the alert. His family is covering for him per the news, so I don't feel they are of any use in protecting this child. Any man who runs his spouse off the road with his child in the car is not fit for custody, not to mention I think he killed her Mom.

2. Do the records just disappear?

No. For an expungement granted under TCA § 40-32-101, the release of arrest histories of a defendant or potential witness in a criminal proceeding to an attorney of record in the proceeding shall be made to the attorney upon request.

He would also have had to be working on expungement for at least 3 months to a year. It just happened to be granted the day before her disappearance.

The above link is an interesting article about expungement.

The timing still seems too coincidental. MOO

bump for shelley.....you and your daughter are on my mind daily

It's amazing that this has just totally disappeared from our local news. No updates, no searches being talked about. And now his record is magically "expunged"? Who's he connected to? Is that why there is nothing out there about this?

I suspect you may be right. Tyler Mook must have a connection to someone in authority. Didn't he live with his parents? I wonder if they are connected to someone of importance.

I am so disturbed by this whole story and really concerned for Shelley's daughter.

This quote alone from Shelley and Tyler's divorce papers gives me chills, "Plaintiff is fearful that when these papers are served on the defendant, he will do bodily harm to her and her daughter because he has an emotional mood disorder."

I lived in Murfreesboro for a few years. I can tell you that people there are "tight." We had a really hard time making any friends, FWIW. It would not surprise me in the least if family ties are involved.

It would be nice to get some kind of an update in the news; however, since there isn't any news, it would appear Shelley hasn't been found. Now my thoughts are going toward the same direction as the car ended up. MOO

Shelley is a 2004 graduate of General McLean High School in her native Edinboro, where she was a cheerleader and on the yearbook committee, Brooks said. She came to Tennessee with Tyler Mook shortly afterwards, according to Brooks. Tyler has family members in Coffee and Franklin counties, investigators said.

Extensive searches in two central Tennessee counties have failed to unearth clues to the whereabouts of an Edinboro native who disappeared nearly a month ago, authorities said Wednesday.

"At this point, as far as the investigation, she is still just a missing person, and we're doing all we can to try to figure something out about where she can be," Bedford County Detective Sgt. Scott Jones said of Shelley Jones Mook.
