Remind me why she has such a bad reputation. I can't remember. Scott Peterson? She was sued? Something is hanging in the corner of my brain, but the corners are dark. :)

On JVM's show ~ guest reading from Joran's Facebook on May 10 where he tells John L. he's "done with Aruba" and he's going to go live in Peru until he can go back to Thailand to take care of his business. Guest commenting that now that he's in prison in Peru he wants to go back to Aruba! JVM also talking about the rats coming into the cell through the toilet hole. Mike Brooks saying "oh well, that's too bad!". :floorlaugh:
 
Talking about rats again on JVM. No sympathy for JVDS. Confession, if admitting murder may keep him at a lighter sentence. Who was the person that called JVDS when he was leaving hotel. Someone from the Atlantic casino called the hotel.

JeanC: it was someone from t Atlantic City Casino that worked there - we can confirm it
(JC: maybe someone he was getting to know - can't confirm)
 
Sorry if this has been mentioned already (its morning here and I just jumped on) but I just heard on Steph Watts (20.06, 30 mins in) that the Kalpoe brothers have had their passports revoked....can this be verified?

I can't remember offhand without googling but she was accused of doing some unethical something or another and IIRC it had to do with Anna Nicole Smith or someone surrounding her. I could be wrong.

Right, and it was someone he knew at the casino calling regarding Joran not showing up about the upcoming tournament, from what I remember.

I wonder about Maximo Altez. He badly wanted off this case, then he's back on. But doesn't seem happy about that either.

It's in Joran's best interest to cooperate at this juncture then he does everything but... Unless he's calling all the shots himself (against his lawyer's advice), I'd wonder if he's getting legal advice that's going to get him a longer sentence.

I know that rats can eat through pipes too -- especially if you have ground level connections

Wow!

I have zero rat experience.

But the first thing that came to mind when reading about the rat "invading his personal space" of which it *has* no right, then Joran should learn how to keep the lid down on his hole.

Could be the only redeeming quality the guy will ever learn.

Right, I wonder about Maximo Altez as well. What changed his mind on this case? Why did he come back? It definitely isn't in JVDS best interest to deny confession right now.

Jane Weintraub from JVM, says all the evidence says he is guilty, the best thing to do right now is work on making his sentence lessened.

Yes... this morning I posted that Julia Renfro - along with a family member - had posted messages of love and good wishes to JVS after he'd left for Peru (5/14), which convinced me that there wasn't much concern over him missing his supposed upcoming confinement to a mental facility. I didn't have a link so it was dismissed as rumor and deleted. TJ Ward just confirmed.

Yes, they can swim up through the sewer system and enter your home from the toilet. I just haven't posted a response because JVDS has a hole in the floor instead of a toilet. Off Topic: Back when I was a kid (mid to late 1960's and old enough to remember this) we had a broken piece of cinder block and you had to keep the comode lid closed if it wasn't being used and put that piece on it esp. at night because they could come up that way. I hesitate to post that because I try to forget a lot of things like that. It was in what a lot of people call the projects (or the Heights) depending on what part of the country you are from...JMHO and experiences from childhood.
