I also don't feel BC has any credibility. He's already stated there was no duct tape over Caylee's face, he's went along with CA saying she doesn't read the discovery, yet she went with facts as she was being deposed by Morgan on the civil lawsuit. He's doing what MN refused to do and that is defend Inmate Anthony at any cost..

wayyy O/Tfor just a sec - I LOVE how how LiveLaughLuv calls her 'Inmate Anthony'!
I wish NG would adopt that and let go of 'Tot-mom'.

She is a convicted felon even though it's been a time served conviction. She is on probation for one year so, in all fairness, she is an inmate of Orange County jail and should be addressed as a felon, IMO...we must not foget, she is no longer a "mom", totmom or otherwise. She set out to complete what she wanted when she was hiding her pregnancy...that is to be free from parental incumrances...she didn't want the responsibility and she now is free from that...Inmate Anthony will not see a free day for the rest of her sorry life. Caylee deserves justice and justice is coming for her..

Justice for Caylee!

The Honorable Judge Perry Jr. is going to adhere to the letter of the law. The "I'm a grieving grandma" mantra from CA won't matter. A witness is a witness!
I seriously doubt that CA and GA will be allowed to observe the trial prior to their testimony. I doubt they will fully excused from duty, as well, because I can easily see them recalled to the stand by the Prosecution if necessary.

I understand that CA and GA are mourning the loss of Caylee, but they refuse to recognize her as the true victim in this case. The only one!! The victim of a homicide!! This trial is about Justice for Caylee.......not Inmate Anthony.

It is pretty common that witnesses who will be called to the stand are not allowed to be in the courtroom during testimony being given by others in the case. If they WERE allowed to be present, imagine how their testimony could change based upon what they have heard other witnesses testify to with their own ears???? How could you ever find their tesimony credible if they have been given the opportunity to hear what everyone else has said and then change their testimony to either refute or back up prior witnesses?

Judge Perry will not fall for this bull, and IMOO he won't even entertain the idea. This is (again IMOO) yet another example of the queen of control trying to exert her will on something over which she has ZERO ability to control.

AFAIC, bottom line, it doesn't matter if C&G are in the courtroom or not. They will NOT abide by the rules and avoid watching the news, reading the newspapers, watching the televised trial at home, or being on the internet. Since when would we expect them to do what they are told? The only way to manage them would be to totally isolate them from all media until they testify and I don't see that happening.

Has anyone else listened to the interview? Can't listen to it at work; wondering what else BC said.

Personally, I think the judge should sequestor the Anthony's. IMHO, Cindy will not have the strength or willpower to avoid the TV or newspaper. Do we trust that she'll obey the judges orders?

MOO

Mel

Nope, I'm willing to bet they will watch videos of the trial as it goes along and any other news about it ... they could even sit in the parking lot with a laptop and which it live ... the only way to prevent that is if they are sequestered ... so I don't see what good it will do to keep them out of the courtroom until their testimony and the judge excusing them after it ... It will be interesting to see how this will be handled ....

I can't imagine CA being told to do anything...I know it is law that witnesses can't be in the trial..but I can't get my brain wrapped around them not being allowed in the courtroom and CA taking it submissively.

Do we have any other cases where the family was not allowed to be in the courtroom because they were witnesses?

Sounds like Cindy is already trying to get around that law ... I think it's safe to say she' s not going to comply without a fight ... once again they expect special treatment

I don't care if they watch it on satellite from the parking lot once they have testified, they should not be in the courtroom when other witnesses are there, they have interfered with enough evidence as it is, I see them trying to interfere with witnesses if allowed in.

Granted, with the publicity of this case and the odds that live coverage will be accessible everywhere, the chances of keeping the A's in the dark til their testimony is need is slim to none.

That said, the other angle that hasn't been discussed is the reaction of the other witnesses. One reason for keeping witnesses out of the courtroom til it's time for their testimony is also so that other witnesses will not be intimidated by their presence.

I realize them not being there doesn't mean they won't know what's going on, but I still am hopeful that Judge Perry won't be making any special allowances in this instance.

haha jinx Zsa Zsa! Looks like our two minds were thinking alike, lol.

Cindy and George should absolutely NOT be allowed in that courtroom until their testimony is given in full.

Which brings up an interesting question? Would the Anthony's testimony be best served early on in the case or closer to the end?

best for whom?

Their testimony HAS to be pretty damning, despite their efforts after the fact to change the spin. That 911 call and GA's firsthand professional knowledge of exactly what death smells like and his statements regarding that trunk.

IMOO That is gonna be pretty hard for the defense to refute or take the sting out of no matter when it comes up during trial.

Were I the prosecution, that 911 call with a panicked CA would be featured early on to set the tone with teh jury as to exactly who Casey Anthony is.

But witnesses are not allowed to hear what everyone else is saying. Of course, the A's want to be treated differently...

The Pros and Defense usually agree that parents can stay in the courtroom even if they are going to testify. I have never heard of any parents that weren't allowed to stay. I will be surprised if the Anthonys are kept out. I remember that Scott and Lacy Peterson's parents/familys were allowed to stay. It really depends on the Pros and Defense but they usually are allowed.

I honestly do not see why it matters if witnesses are in the courtroom, thats the whole reason they have depositions. They can not change thier testamony just because they are on the stand.

Before my daughter's killer pled Guilty we were going to trial. I was told that witnesses couldn't be in the courtroom until after they had testified. I told the Pros that there was no way that I was going to sit outside in the hall throughout the trial of my daughter's killer. I was going to be inside that courtroom to represent my baby girl. The Pros told me that they could call me first and then I would be allowed to stay or he could talk to the defense and the judge and get permission for me to stay in the courtroom the whole time.

I know that Casey's trial is different because she murdered her child and so George and Cindy are the parents of the killer and grandparents of the victim...different from my situation but I do believe the attorneys...Pros and Defense along with the judge can agree to allow them to stay in the courtroom. I don't think it has anything to do with anyone thinking they/we are special. I know I wanted to represent my daughter and I wanted to hear the whole trial and after my daughter being murdered and the living hell of the killer being on the run for 8 years I felt I deserved to hear every word of the trial. I think most parents feel the same way.

Exactly, all of the above, and anything else that they can think of to cover the trial for them, to give them cliff notes.

I wouldn't be surprised if they set their DVR to record everything, for them to go over each night ~

Aside from setting them up in a hotel room like the jury will be, I do not see either one of them not having knowledge of what takes place inside that court room when this goes down.

And, locking George and Cindy up in a hotel room for upwards of 2 months, aint' gonna be a honeymoon period for either one of them.
Someone aint' comin' out alive, IMO.
And, the smell won't be from an empty pizza box that gets housekeeping attention, either.

No TV, no internet, no "notebooks of notes", no newspapers or magazines, no phones, no reams of document dumps to memorize, zero, zip, nada.
They both will go insane.

Not sure if the Judge can actually order such a thing, and, short of finding them both in contempt for something before this really gets down and dirty, and, throwing them both in Orange County lockup for the duration of the trial, I don't know how anyone can keep information from getting back to them.

I for one hope Cindy Anthony loses her cool just once and has an outburst and is escorted OUT.
Again, I think the best thing about this trial (other than justice for Caylee) will be watching CA get her *advertiser censored* handed to her.

Secretly, the little evil me on my left shoulder is hoping for the same outburst.
To be able to see the clenching of the jaws, the gritting of the teeth, rolling of the eyes, and the disgusted sideways turns that she gives.

The Anthony's will be a show all of themselves if they are allowed to remain in there during the trial.

This is one case where they were not, and I am told that is the way it usually is. I don't know if it is at the Judge's discretion...

Back in the day we called Scott Peterson ISP (inmate Scott Peterson). It always makes me think of that.

Bobbi'sAngel - OT but my heart breaks for you hearing what you've had to endure. I have two daughters and cannot bear even the thought they would be harmed let alone killed! I'm sending my sincere admiration to you for what you have suffered.
