Casey Anthony Suffering From 'Identity Supression Syndrome?' Forensic Psychiatrist Tells All

“I think the prosecutor missed the boat,” said Ablow. “The most psychologically credible way to view this is as a mercy killing, namely deciding that it would be better for her daughter to be dead and in God’s hands than to leave her behind to fall into the hands of Cindy and George Anthony.

Ablow still riding his 15 minutes of fame.

ORLANDO --
A ruling on whether Casey Anthony has the right to plead the Fifth Amendment in the Zenaida Gonzalez lawsuit is expected by the end of the year
Greene said if Gonzalez's attorneys couldn't prove their case without Casey's deposition, they shouldn't have sued in the first place. Greene also would not tell reporters the basis of Casey's appeal on the criminal convictions.
Judge Lisa Munyon said she would hold on ruling until after she has heard EquuSearch's case.

Following the hearing, Anthony's other civil attorney Charles Greene said his client is not seeking special treatment, but the same constitutional privilege that would be granted "any other defendant in this situation."

"It is a no brainer that the Fifth Amendment applies to the questions that were asked by the plaintiff's counsel," Greene said. "We think we'll get the result that we want."

Lisa Stephenson, Volusia County Headlines Examiner - December 8, 2011
Police say a Volusia County woman made up a story about being carjacked in an effort to get more attention from her boyfriend.
......... Zuver also told police she was an event planner for Walt Disney World, but couldn't produce a name or phone number for her supervisor. The story was reminiscent of the story Casey Anthony gave investigators when her daughter Caylee was first reported missing.
Zuver finally admitted she hadn't worked at Disney in over a year and that she had made up the whole story about the carjacking because her boyfriend had started to ignore her, and she hoped the attention she received from the story would make him care more about her.

By Lee Ross - Published December 13, 2011 - FoxNews.com
For all of the high-minded grandeur placed on the majesty of the American legal system most people would be quite happy to never enter a courtroom, but television ratings -- demonstrated in the Casey Anthony and Conrad Murray trials -- clearly show broad interest in watching what happens inside the four walls of a trial court.
Notable cases have always generated attention from the public and in recent decades that has often included live televised or videotaped coverage from inside the courtroom. But until this summer none of those cases originated inside a federal trial court.
A new pilot program approved by the Judicial Conference, the policy making entity for the federal courts, allows for some cases to be videotaped and then posted online for all to see.

Los Angeles-based Scott Sternberg Productions is behind the proposed interview show, which multiple networks have passed on pursuing.
.............But so far, multiple cable networks have declined. Spokespeople for Discovery Communications' TLC and ID confirmed that the networks have passed on the project. A&E Networks, which includes Lifetime and A&E, also has passed, says a spokesperson.
And Lifetime is in the early stages of development on a potential television movie based on retired prosecutor Jeff Ashton’s recently released book, Imperfect Justice: Prosecuting Casey Anthony. The book, which chronicles the three-year trial, shot to the top of the sales list at BarnesandNobles.com shortly after it was announced in August. But Lifetime, which has not yet given a green light to the film, has stressed that the potential project would be told from the point-of-view of prosecutors, not Anthony.

Casey Anthony: People couldn’t stop talking about the case
ABC, Caylee and Casey Anthony, Katie Couric — posted by halboedeker on December, 19 2011 8:22 AM
I realize some readers think we should move on, but the Anthony story is likely to be part of the Central Florida news menu for years to come. Many people keep talking about it because they realize that although Anthony won in court, they don’t want her to win in the public. They say she shouldn’t profit in any way about her daughter’s death, and they are determined to see she doesn’t.

Court cases do end, but the court of public opinion never closes
