Casey Anthony's attorneys take on prosecutor Jeff Ashton and his book

ORLANDO --
Casey Anthony's criminal defense team is going after Jeff Ashton.

In newly filed papers, the defense wants Ashton to explain why he shouldn't be held in contempt for releasing information in sealed court files.

Judge Belvin Perry sealed the depositions of two mental health evaluations for Casey Anthony. The defense says Ashton revealed details of the evaluations and depositions in his book, "An Imperfect Justice."

Attorneys for Zenaida Gonzalez wanted to compel Casey Anthony to answer deposition questions.
Munyon said a deposition in the civil suit would include questions that "bear directly" on one of the appealed counts. Anthony, the judge wrote, has "properly asserted" her rights.

Gonzalez's lawyers are free to revisit the issue after Anthony's appeal concludes.

The trial of Jodi Ann Arias, set to begin Feb. 1, could be the biggest court proceeding since Casey Anthony.

The 32-year-old photographer is accused of shooting her lover in the face, stabbing him 27 times, and slitting his throat from ear to ear.

The dead man, Travis Alexander, was found in the shower of his Mesa., Ariz., apartment five days later.

CNN and TruTV have both been gearing up for major coverage. Even Dr. Drew Pinsky has chimed in, recently comparing Arias to Casey Anthony.
