Yeah in my flashbacks I was her and I died... it woke me up in sweats and crying. I had to flick my ipad on to look at see if anything had happened. It was WEIRD and Im not big on psychic stuff, etc. But it was really frealky for me. I just feel different today...

I do not think that they would be doing that in this case (IMHO). There are WAY too many volunteers out there searching to have them searching in vain. I personally don't believe that LE would have all of the volunteers if they had already found her.

Decent coverage on Fox news on TV with Alisyn Camerota. Nothing new but a bit longer than the usual sound blip, with a decent interview. Seems like the news is making some effort to clarify things.

In this second video whenever they speak of her brother they show a picture of her and her boyfriend - very misleading and frustrating! They never say this is a picture of her brother, but they repeatedly show her boyfriend's photo when talking about the brother.

"Well, we are running over 250 leads that we have received. We have expanded the search down to the Natchez Trace (spelling?) Parkway. Uh, we found some evidence that we believe belonged to Holly, several miles from the house, so, we felt that it was imperative to expand the search."
reporter asks about the lunch box, anything wlse they might have found and if they are encouraged by the finds:

"Well, it's very encouraging. We found the lunchbox, uh, other evidence that we think may have belonged to Holly, and we are analyzing that evidence at the TBI crime lab at this moment, hoping that we will, um, be able to extract some evidence from, uh, one of those pieces of items that will help further along the investigation."
Reporter asks about the please to watch for one of their own that may have been involved:
Gwyn:
"Well, uh, based on the evidence that we have now, we believe that the person would have had to have known the area, either by hunting in the area or living in the area, so that's why we're asking the residents of Parsons to look amongst themselves to f - for anyone that may be, uh, acting differently, someone that may have been missing around Wednesday, someone that was supposed to be hunting in the area Wednesday, hoping that that will help us, uh, further the investigation also."
Reporter asks if there are suspects:
Gwyn:
"Well, we, we have evidence, um, once again, that we are analyzing, uh, we, we get, we have over 250 leads, uh, to say that we have a person of interest right now, we don't. Uh, but, at any moment, based on the evidence, based on the leads, based on the community support, the next phone call could lead to that."
Reporter asks about reports that her brother and bf were initially cleared as suspects, and whether that has changed:
Gwyn:
"Well, I don't think it's changed. I think obviously uh, both of those people would have been witnesses, especially her brother, uh, being the person that last saw her, uh, but I can tell you that we have not eliminated anyone from this investigation. Uh, so I don't know that they were ever considered suspects, more probably witnesses, uh, but at this point, it's too early in the investigation to clear anyone."

maybe to question what people saw? that road intersects the Swan Johnson Rd....wasn't that the area searched early? evidence poss. found there?

I'm wondering if they feel like some of this "evidence" they have been finding has been being tossed out of a vehicle driving around to toy or throw off LE? But it wouldnt work to catch them if you advertise that tactic.

I was just thinking the exact same thing when I saw his tweet - but then I thought about the Jessica Lloyd case up in Ontario - they had found tire track evidence at the house and were stopping vehicles in the area to have one officer chat up the driver and another to compare tire treads on the vehicle. It is a long shot -- if they had found that type of evidence before the storms rolled through last week then why wait till now to set them up?
Really hoping there is an ingenious "method to their madness"!

I am glad they are trying everything, i.e. roadblock/questioning drivers, but it does seem as though they are really scrambling and not much closer to finding her.

Another interesting idea is looking for cars with new tires, newly washed, inside missing carpet, etc. I know in other cases these were signs that caught the person in the end.

If they are trying a road block nearly a week later they may have some info that a potential suspect may be trying to leave the area.

I don't think this is going to have a happy ending at all.

I hope if she is gone, she did not suffer in torture in any way, like two of the cases I've read about. (Channon Christian & Chris Newsom & Jodi Sanderholm).

all three of these people suffered for 5 hours or more.

I'm not second guessing LE at all but it sure seems as if the roadblocks would have been more helpful on the day she went missing or the day after. Maybe they will generate some new leads this way but it just seems odd to me to have roadblocks almost a week later.

On the 7th his 'license plate' was given to LE by a witness so what took so long (16th/17th?) to find & apprehend him? :waitasec:

I suppose he could've been MIA due to kidnapping Holly on the 13th but that's still almost a whole week later so that doesn't quite jive..OTH! His MO is to stalk young women while they're shopping or just walking along so I guess we can't completely rule him out since he did actually follow one home to her dorm.

Jodi Sanderholm had a stalker; a local guy names Justin Thurber who staked some of the girls from Jodi's College dance team.

He had been watching Jodi for years.

Wanting to look at tires/interiors makes sense. Suspect leaving the area doesn't make much sense. Any suspects at this point would be in deep interrogation I would think.

I started on here back with Laci Peterson! Anyhow, this case really drew my attention.

Sadly, I don't feel that she is alive. I appreciate a pp stats on adult abductions, but I almost feel like those must be more relevant to cases where someone takes the person for a few hours and then let's them go, but not when they take them for weeks, months, on end.

I feel like the publicized cases in which a victim has been kept alive for a long period of time involve minors/children, but not grown women, where the captor kind of brainwashes the victim so they don't constantly fight and try to escape (Elizabeth Smart, Sarah Maynard, Duggard).

This case is so sad and scary because it happened right outside her home. I also doubt that it is an ex-boyfriend or even a family member. I feel like in cases where the LE wants cooperation from the ex or the family, they do throw out the line about "not a suspect" but they don't actually deny the existence of the ex and the suspicious family member. This case feels different to me.

In some ways, you almost hope it is an ex or a family member (outside of the best possibility of her coming back alive), because it makes us feel safer than some deranged obsessed stalker laying in wait outside your home. Whenever I hear about one of these horrible cases, I do almost wish it was the crazy ex, horrible stepfather, or boyfriend becuase it makes me and my family feel safer in this crazy world since I don't have any crazy exes or abusive boyfriends, etc. It makes you feel a little in control of the crazy. Sadly, I feel like this is one of those cases where the tragedy is only compounded by the randomness of it.

P.S. Not saying that I want these victims to be hurt, abused or killed. I don't. I can't comprehend the abuse and violence at the hands of anyone, but I personally find it very unnerving when it's a stranger or random act of violence, because you just can't feel safe anywhere.
