Deceased/Not Found IN - Kelly Armstrong, 27, Kokomo, Aug 2011 *T. Funke guilty*

While on in-home detention, Funk was allowed to live in Kokomo, where police say he cut off his in-home detention electronic monitoring device.

Ok, so WHY didn't any LE go pick this guy up for cutting off his device? WTH happens, they notice that it is cut, and just say "oh well, no big deal"??! Depending on when it was removed, some action on that might have prevented him from harming Kelly!

Infuriating. :furious:

I am so happy that the baby is safe!!

RUMOR: I read on what appears to be Kelly's uncle's FB page that this is yet another family who has been told not to talk to the media.

I have family & friends who live in Kokomo. I haven't head many mention this story. Glad the baby is safe

With so little information, do we even have a last confirmed sighting?

As the Beatles’ song “Let It Be” played in the background, tears began to roll down Shelly Rush’s face for her sister, Kelly J. Armstrong.

Their mother, Teresa Edwards, sat next to Rush, leaned her head against her daughter’s and began to cry.

The two women and several other family members were among nearly 70 people at a candlelight vigil Tuesday night for Armstrong, the 28-year-old Kokomo woman who family members say they haven’t seen or heard from since August.

Armstrong’s cousin, David Phillips II, led the group in prayer and the lighting of candles at Vineyard Community Church in Logansport.

The vigil was held in honor of Armstrong’s 28th birthday.

There’s no sign of Kelly Armstrong, 28, and the theories surrounding her disappearance in July are disturbing for family members.

“I honestly think something bad happened to her,” said Armstrong’s older sister Shelly Rush. “There’s no way she would have left her baby, her pictures, her clothing, her shoes, and everything behind.”

Armstrong was living in Kokomo with her boyfriend, Travis Funke and their 18-month-old son at the time of her disappearance. Rush says police haven’t named Funke as a suspect in the investigation, but his uncooperative behavior raises a red flag.

“He's stated to the police that he knows where she is and he’s not telling,” she said.

Guardian Angels, entertainment group help in search for missing Kokomo woman

The Guardian Angels are stepping in to help Kelly Armstrong's family and friends find the Kokomo mother of four. Armstrong, 28, has been missing since August. The group will be handing out missing person flyers and asking questions of the public and businesses who may have seen her.

The Guardian Angels also recruited Daddy Real Entertainment. The local entertainment company is producing a video for YouTube at no charge to the family.

Please keep the prayers going.

From the article:

Police have arrested Armstrong's boyfriend on an unrelated charge, but have not connected him to the disappearance. Another search will take place Sunday.

I know that they arrested him when she first went missing, and even though they say there are no suspects, I am sure he did it. I wonder if he is still in jail.

Where's Kelly Armstrong? After 5 Months Of Anguish, Sister Pleads For Help
Where is Kelly Armstrong?

That's what her sister still asks, more than five months after Armstrong disappeared from her Kokomo, Ind., home.

Shelly Rush said she wants her 28-year-old sister found, no matter the circumstances.

"I just want to bring her home, one way or the other," Rush told The Huffington Post. "Wherever she is at, whatever condition she is in, I just want her home."

"We're still actively looking for her. That's the only thing I can comment on at this time," said police Maj. Brian Seldon.

"We have had several searches, but we are having a hard time getting anyone in the community to help us," Rush said. "We have also reached out to some professional search groups, like Texas EquuSearch, but they need the OK from police before they will search and Kokomo police told them they did not need their help."

Where is Kelly? Why is there so little action in her case? I can't imagine the anguish that her family must be feeling.

"On January 9th, 2012, Kokomo authorities informed our family that Kelly's boyfriend had confessed to the murder and that a large amount of Kelly's blood was found inside her home," said Teresa Edwards, Armstrong's mother.

She added that her daughter's boyfriend, Travis Funke, told police Armstrong's body was placed in a trash bag and he led police to the landfill. She said police had been searching the landfill for days, but they warned the family their resources were running out.
