Okay, there's not supposed to be a computer in that home-- not at that time anyway-- so what, did they use the kid's Xbox?
I'm thinking perhaps there was a Laptop in the home at the time of HD disappreance and they got rid of it (or hid it)
before BD went to the police station to report Hailey missing.

That's for a flash drive/thumb drive/USB drive. A memory stick is a memory card similar to what you use in a camera or cell phone. It hasn't got a USB connector.

Memory Stick is a removable flash memory card format, launched by Sony in October 1998,[1] and is also used in general to describe the whole family of Memory Sticks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memory_Stick

I was thinking thumb drive, that's what you download to, from a computer.
If it is a memory stick, they would be actual photos, from a camera.
I wonder if they made a mistake in the article and it was a thumb drive they found in the dresser.

I am now feeling bad for the guys/gals that had to watch and analyse defiant sex photos..........esp if the sick pics are of children or Hailey.

If they were of Hailey, SA and/or BD would be in jail already.

A flash drive is a handy tool that allows you to store docs/pics on a tiny electronic drive and then move the material to another computer or electronic source capable of viewing and or uploading.

When I need a print job done I often times take a document or picture to the printer on a flash drive. It is a handy way of carrying electronic data and small. When I travel I will often carry a flash drive with media on it.

They didn't have much choice:
"The results from the search warrants on the electronics were obtained by the Reporter-News through public information requests to 32nd Distirct Court , which covers Fisher, Mitchell and Nolan counties. The results of the warrants to confiscate the cell phones, were obtained through Mitchell County Judge Ray Mayo’s office."

There is an escape hatch for LE on FOIA, and I imagine they would have asked for these to be sealed if they were worried about them getting out. They did refuse to release certain info about results of the warrants even though they were requested.

There are so, so many places on the internet to view/learn about/fantasize about with regard to deviant things. There is deviant art, body modifications, fetish sites (for anything!), you name it. Lots of people look at that stuff -

I don't consider finding *advertiser censored* to be that big of a deal, unless it was something illegal, like animals or children.

From what I've read, there's no way to look at *advertiser censored* on the Internet and not see someone underage.

Deviant could also mean group sex or fetishism. I'm thinking bondage, considering his "interests."

The fact that this memory stick was in Billy's dresser drawer just makes me mad. :banghead: No wonder they pulled her son out of that house!

My main concern is that I hope that memory stick was locked up. Children snoop. Finding *advertiser censored* is one thing, finding *advertiser censored* in mommy's bedroom is enough to mentally scar a child for life!! That's right up there with walking in on your parents! :doorhide:

Doesn't every kid manage to walk in on their folks at least once?

I'm no angel either :innocent:..nothing wrong with a little spice in your life, but I don't want to see anyone else's porny pics :blushing:..I sure hope we aren't talking about some of the really deviant stuff that goes on out there in the real world. Makes my stomach churn to think about...

There are many types of memory sticks. Mine is a usb for my laptop and is like the red one pictured in the middle. These are ALL memory sticks.

Right - my kids have used them for years to take assignments like Powerpoints to school and load them into the teacher's computer so the class can watch on TV. My daughter saves all her Law School documents on a flash key.

But it's also a good place for hiding *advertiser censored*. He could have downloaded it from the computer then wiped the computer drive clean.

So I don't really think these are pictures of Hailey or even Billy, but more likely just weird stuff from the Internets.

I thought about BD cruising the web and printing those true crime stories. She wouldn't have dared to look at and download anything thing else right?

There are USB memory card adapters....one can use diff. memory sticks/cards in the USB device so that a memory stick/card from a camera, for example, can be used to view pics, play vids, etc on supported devices.

If she was looking at *advertiser censored* at work she was taking a big risk. Most places will fire you automatically for that.

ThoughFox, I am so worried about that boy..where in the world does he go from here?..OT, I know..but his situation just tugs at my heartstrings..:(

There are sooooooooooooo many men out there who are addicted to internet *advertiser censored*. It's a huge problem, IMO!

I'm not a SA supporter by any means, but I would like to know what kind of deviant *advertiser censored* they are talking about and if it has something to do with what he might have done to Hailey.

Now I'm sitting here wondering if the masks were for SA to wear...or BD

hello!

ok, so im not trying to stand up for anyone here but here is how i see it. The article says "approximately 108,498 pictures depicting deviant acts,” and then says about the memory stick containing “320 images and videos of a pornographic nature.”

firstly it says that deviant images were taken from the computer from SA's moms, but it doesnt mention *advertiser censored* on that one. the police will have done a deep search and removed all information from deep within the hard drive clusters, which i would assume if they are doing thier jobs properly, it wouldnt be just "downloaded" images, it will be downloaded images, but also imprints and fragments, cookies and cache, deleted things etc. ie. in my computer now if they were to take it away and remove all "stored" images, every single one of you guys avatars would be stored, all images of buttons, logos, any images off pages i've looked at, any thing i've saved and deleted etc etc would be there - thus to me, though it sounds like a huge amount, it could be easily explained. also, it depends on what deviant images are discounting the word *advertiser censored*. i read on one law site - " The types of deviance considered include homicide (individual and mass), spouse and child abuse, illegal drug use, sorcery" which if he goes on horror movie sites a lot, that would count, all those silly drug videos and pictures would count, fake blood and gore, pentagrams and occult things, the mask pictures with weapons, even the suicide girls who are a sort of tattooed nudey girls site got threatened with a deviant imagery lawsuit also, they all might count, you see what im getting at?

secondly, i have noticed nowadays that wether you personally agree or not, *advertiser censored* is becoming more and more accepted and so many times i've read problem page things where a wife is upset at discovering her husbands *advertiser censored* use and the response? "indulge in it with him my dear, spice up your sex life" - i thinks its bad but thats just me, many people my age (in thier 20's) think its completely normal. which brings me to my third point - if BD had a memory stick with *advertiser censored* on it in a drawer in her bedroom then instead of chastising her, maybe she was making sure it wasnt availiable on the home computer for the kids to see, in the same way that when i was little i found a joy of sex book in my mums bedside drawer when i was sneaking - i wasnt meant to see it but i sneaked, she didnt keep it on the coffee table for all to see! finally, if it was anything illegal, which as the fbi have an anti *advertiser censored* campaign im sure it would be easy to classify - the MSM would be shouting it from the rooftops as that would be really exciting to them! hope this gives a fair perspective on another side of the debate.

MOOOOOOOO

Most workplaces would look down upon printing a bunch of true crime stories and taking tools home to tattoo your son too, but that didn't stop BD.
