Posted: Nov 15, 2010 9:31 PM CST

HANNIBAL, Mo. (WGEM) --It's been one year since a Hannibal woman went missing without a trace.

Christina Whittaker was 21 when she disappeared November 13th, 2009. Now, police hope getting her name out there again could spark some new leads.

Family members say they haven't lost hope.

Christina Whittaker's uncle has been traveling the Midwest looking for his niece.

He says his family still hopes Christina is alive and won't stop looking for her.

Missing Missourians Day

The numbers are hard to imagine. More than 1200 people are considered missing or unidentified in the state of Missouri and that's just the official count.

[snip]

"We've missed two birthdays with her" said Cindy Young whose daughter Christina Whittaker went missing from Hannibal nearly two years ago. Her mother believes she was kidnapped.

"My daughter's a very pretty girl. They saw her and knew they could make money off her and that's exactly what they did."

Cindy made the one hundred mile drive to Jefferson City to raise awareness and offer and receive support.

Where is Christina?
Hannibal woman has been missing nearly two years

It was a cold November night. Friday the 13 to be exact.

Usually tall tales of superstition surround the sixth day of the week when the 13th day of the month falls on this particular day, but the events of Friday, Nov. 13, 2009, go way beyond fears of walking under a step ladder or in the path of a black cat. This was the night Christina Whittaker went out with a few friends in Hannibal and hasn’t returned home since.

Christina's mom goes into more detail about her daughter.I feel so bad for her.

I saw a comment on Terrilynn Monnette's FB page from this girl's mother. She is apparently still missing and her mom is still looking. I had not seen this case, so I wanted to bump it to give her a little exposure.

Before having a balloon release and ceremony to mark the eighth year of searching for Christina Whittaker, her missing daughter, Cindy Young of Hannibal said she is sure Christina is alive.
And she hopes someone will encourage her to at least call her mother at 573-406-8439.
Young’s message to her daughter is: “If you see this, it’s never too late. I pray for you.”
She added, “Just a phone call would be the best day of my life.”

Eight years is too long. Where are you, Christina?

So I was looking at the case for Christina again and thought that maybe the Hannibal police department caught images or video of a car or even Christina walking or running away from a car? When I was looking at the street view I realized that her phone was found on the 200th block of 7th street. Is there a chance that she was walking to sportsmans bar and grill for another drink? Maybe she tried to get away there? Any way that there is a way to get footage of the videos? If they're even still saved.
