A Child, named Rose, was murdered and thrown in a suitcase, then submerged in water. She was found after 3 months. She, too, was a wee thing...so tragic. Here is a blurb of what the experts said about decomp rate, in her case. It may be relevant, if Caylee is in water...

The pathologist appointed by the suspects is Dr. Chen Kugel, a former deputy director of the forensic institute. "Remains immersed in water are better preserved than remains exposed to air," Kugel noted, explaining that "changes in water occur at half the pace of changes in open air. And if the water contains certain salts, decomposition can be further delayed ... However, if you throw a body in a suitcase into the water, after three months, it is likely you will find only a skeleton with almost no soft tissue. Particularly in the case of small girl."

Meanwhile, the motion Anthony's attorney, Jose Baez, filed earlier this week to stop all current and future forensic evidence testing in the search for Anthony's missing daughter, Caylee, may never come to fruition.

According to a representative with the 9th Judicial Circuit Court, Baez never delivered a copy to the judge's office and has not requested the judge schedule a hearing on the motion.

Until the judge sees the paperwork and gets a request to hold some sort of hearing, the court spokeswoman said nothing will be done about that motion.

OUR DUMB STATE: THE CASEY ANTHONY EDITION
A little girl goes missing, and Central Florida goes insane

...................snip...........................
The story has all the makings of a Lifetime television movie: a missing toddler; an unstable mother who may have done the unspeakable; bounty hunters; self-interested cops leaking information to the press; an attention-hungry state attorney; and local media milking every jot and tittle of the case for maximum exposure.

In the less than two months since Caylee vanished, the Sentinel has run almost 50 stories about the Anthonys: a story nearly every single day, even when there was nothing new to report. Stories about Casey Anthony canceling jailhouse visits with her kin became fodder for the feeding frenzy. Caylee became almost a footnote to the soap opera.

With the exception of the hundreds of volunteers who have helped look for Caylee, there are no good actors in this story. From the cops to the media to the Anthonys themselves, this tragic episode has shown the world, once again, how stupidity flowers in Florida.

So welcome to the most tragic installment yet in our ongoing Our Dumb State series. Will we never learn?

Casey Anthony

If you live in Central Florida long enough, you’ll meet someone like Casey Anthony. She epitomizes the young, pretty, trashy, narcissistic, bi-curious party people who seem to take way too long to grow the hell up, even when life presents them with little hints like parenthood. Orlando breeds them like swamps breed mosquitoes.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Aggressive protesters outside the home of Casey Anthony and her parents, including a group dressing up as demons and monsters, have prompted the neighborhood home owner's association to file a lawsuit against the crowds.

Friday, Local 6 learned that the Chickasaw Oaks Homeowner's Association is suing the protesters and fighting to stop demonstrators from disrupting the peace.

The HOA wants to basically set up a protest zone down the street from Casey Anthony's home, Local 6's Mike DeForest reported.

The HOA claims that the protesters have forced at least one homeowner to put their home up for sale.

Casey Anthony has hundreds of online supporters

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35, Orlando) -- There's no doubt Casey Anthony has been the target for rowdy protesters who want her to know what they think of her and their words and their signs haven't been nice. But Casey also has hundred of supporters. They've gathered on Facebook and befriended Casey providing her with support, kind words, and prayer.

Fox 35 reporter Holly Bristow made the discovery.

Holly’s sources tell her that when Casey is at home and even sometimes at her attorneys office, she spends some time on her computer and on one site in particular, Facebook. <more>

Psychologist: Casey Anthony Managed Questioning Stress 'Disturbingly Well'

ORLANDO, Fla. -- A series of responses given by Casey Anthony during police interviews are not consistent with a desperate mother who wants to find her daughter, a psychologist told Local 6."Most people who are interviewed by police officers don't manage their emotions that well," Dr. Deborah Day said of Casey Anthony during questioning over her daughter. "They get upset, they get agitated and they get angry."Day listened to the interviews and said she believes Casey Anthony's tone and responses are detached.

"It is inconsistent," Day said. "That's a detachment. She is able to push her emotions aside during these interviews.

Day said the only time she heard Casey Anthony get emotional on released tapes is when she talks about her relationship with her mother, Cindy. and not her daughter, Caylee, Local 6's Jessica D'Onofrio reported.

A detective was pressing Casey Anthony about how she wasn't living up to her mother's expectations.

Casey Anthony was asked a yes-or-no question but said a lot more. “Too much information is a true sign of lying,” observed Susan Constantine.

Is your daughter in a better place? . . . Are you worried about her?
__________________________________________________________________________________________
“No, she’s not, I’m absolutely petrified. If she was with her family right now, she’d be in the best place. She’s not. She’s with someone that I absolutely do not trust.”

Profiler: ‘Pretty damning’ that Casey Anthony may have Googled chemical

updated 9:28 a.m. ET Sept. 5, 2008

The detection of chloroform in the trunk of the car driven by Casey Anthony, along with evidence that she researched the chemical on the Internet, does not bode well for the mother of missing 3-year-old Caylee Anthony, in the opinion of investigative criminal profiler Pat Brown.

“I think it’s pretty damning information,” Brown told TODAY co-host Meredith Vieira on Friday. “There’s no reason for chloroform to be in that trunk. You’re not going to use it as a cleaning fluid around your house.

“It would only be in some kind of criminal act,” Brown opined. Therefore, if you have somebody looking for it on the computer and it’s in the trunk and there’s evidence Caylee was in the trunk, there you go — you’ve got a pretty good case.
