SPOKANE, Wash. - Spokane Police are asking for the public's assistance in finding a woman and her two young children who are believed to be with her. The children, 5 year-old Athena Lyons, and 2 year-old Ronnie Adams are wards of the State of Washington but had been returned to their mother, under court ordered restrictions. The mother, Patricia Lyons violated those restrictions when she was involved in a recent domestic violence assault.
According to police, probable cause to arrest Lyons for 2nd degree assault had been developed but they were unable to find her to arrest her. CPS then obtained a court order remanding both children back to the state's custody. Police believe the mother is now on the run and may be suicidal and the children may be in danger of being harmed.
Anyone with information about Patricia Lyons is asked to call 911

Mother fights to get her children back
A Spokane mother, who was the focus of a an interstate search involving her young children in April, is out of jail. Patricia Lyons served 37 days for malicious mischief. She pleaded guilty Wednesday to that charge. Her children have been in state custody since her arrest.
Lyon's lawyers say their client should get her children back. Child Protective Services says Lyons is not mentally well. In court, her family supported her saying she is a good mother.
The children are currently in foster care. There is no word from Child Protective Services if the children will be returned to Lyons.
