Ben Roseland has been missing since February 9th, 2008 for Clinton, Iowa. He was last seen at around 10.30pm, in the 400 block of 10th Avenue South as he headed towards the Hy-Vee Store in the 900 block of South 4th Street.
Ben never made it to the store. He simply just vanished. Despite having a significant amount of money in his bank account, there has been no activity since his disappearance. Neither has his mobile phone been used. He took no personal belongings and he does not have a vehicle. None of Ben's friends have any knowledge of his whereabouts.
Volunteer searchers began sifting through the area east and south of the location where Ben was last seen. A pair of shoes were found. One was found lying in a vacant yard at the corner of 13th Avenue South and Third Street. The second was found on top of a snow bank on the east side of the street at 13th Avenue South and Second Street. Ben's mother confirmed that Ben wore a pair of shoes similar in make, color, style and shoe size.
A more intense search was then conducted east of the area of 13th Avenue South and Second Street, no additional items of Ben's were found.
