Kimberly spent June 8 with her boyfriend, Dana Hudson, and another friend's family in Croom, Maryland. Kimberly and Dana argued throughout the day, but it was nothing serious. They left the friends residence at 11:00 pm.
Kimberly never returned to her family's home the next morning. Her boyfriend claimed that she had left his residence at 2:30 that morning. Her boyfriend's father supported the claim that she had left.
Kimberly's vehicle was found locked and abandoned on June 11, approximately 10 miles from her boyfriend's house. It was headed in the opposite direction of Kimberly's home. A friend claimed he saw the vehicle abandoned there on June 9 at approximately 3:15 am. There were no signs of a struggle, and the vehicle was in working condition.
Kimberly's boyfriend failed a polygraph shortly after her disappearance. He and his family hired an attorney and refused to cooperate afterwards. But no arrests have been made, and Kimberly's case remains unsolved.
