Jesse Crum’s mom arrested in Amherst: Alyson Sweaney accused of domestic violence against boyfriend
    Published: Saturday, April 17, 2010

Alyson Sweaney, mother of Jesse Crum, the toddler whose death from head injuries is being investigated by Amherst police, was arrested yesterday morning for assaulting her boyfriend, Peter Jones.

Jones, 22, told Amherst police he was assaulted by Sweaney while they were driving in a car a few blocks from his Forest Hill Drive home. Police saw visible injuries to his arm and the right side of his face, a police report said. Jones’ father, Dallas Jones, made a 911 call about the assault.

Three-year-old Jesse was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center March 11 with bleeding on the brain and multiple bruises, according to the Amherst Police Department. After performing surgery, the doctors declared Crum was brain dead and would not recover. He died on March 17 and his father, Jessie Crum Sr., donated the boy’s organs.

“If anything good can come out of this, we want Jesse’s organs to go to other babies to help them live,” Crum Sr. has previously said. “He’s going to be a hero.”

Jones pleaded guilty in 2009 to two felony counts of child endangering for scalding the then-2-year-old boy in hot bath water, according to court records. He has not yet been sentenced by Lorain County Common Pleas Court Judge Edward Zaleski.

Jones’ parents, Dallas and Therese Jones, who own the home where Peter Jones lives, were arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana March 12.

Amherst mother of dead child again arrested after disturbance
    May 25, 2010, 9:50AM

For the second time this year, the mother of the 3-year-old Amherst boy whose death is under investigation by Amherst police, was accused of assaulting her boyfriend.

Alyson Sweaney, 22, was charged with disorderly conduct by intoxication and disturbing the peace early May 15. Sweaney's boyfriend, Peter Jones, was also arrested on the same charges.

Police went to Jones' home after neighbors complained about shots and screams coming from the house. Police said Jones had scratches on his chest. Sweaney was found in a bedroom.

Amherst police are still investigating the March 17 death of Sweaney's son Jesse Crum Jr. The death came eight days after he was injured at the home shared by Jones, Sweaney and Jones' parents in Amherst.

Police said today they are still waiting for autopsy and laboratory results from the Cuyahoga County coroner's office as part of their investigation into the boy's death. Police said they plan to soon turn everything over to the Lorain County prosecutor to determine whether arrests should be made in the boy's death.

Jesse Crum, Sr. has been picked up by local police and taken to Nord Center.

There was some concern for his well being is all they can say right now. However, once he's released from what I think is a Psychiatric facility police said he will be arrested. For what? Failure to pay child support.

They must want to lock all these adults up who failed these sweet baby.

Alyson Sweany's FB page. A picture with the cutest little baby boy as her default picture.

Jesse Crum, Sr.'s Myspace. Again this little doll baby is adorable God rest his soul. Maybe Jesse Crum, Sr. had to be admitted into the hospital for depression, grief, and I pray I never know what else a person can feel having their child die that way.
