Looks like they finally used their SAR team. Why they let more than 24hr go by first is beyond. me.

Yeah, they seem to be leaning towards that direction. Course he was also spotted several miles the other direction in downtown SC. There's a lot of land to cover.

Bumping again....hope this missing man does not end up like so many others when SAR dog teams are not called in immediately. If they know the location of where he left from and the local Sheriffs dept has dogs, and Erik left on foot.....why not? It seems a piece of cake. (?)
Hope for this family that they find Erik safe soon. Not much in the media.

It's now pouring on the central coast....
This is the 3rd person to go missing in this county in a month and not once have they called out the dogs. The last two cases did not have happy endings. I'm hoping this turns out better, but it is very scary and very frustrating.

Erik is still missing, this doesn't make sense. I believe he is alive, now he just needs to be found.

I so hope so as well. I am hoping he is 'lost' in the truest sense of the word- that he got turned around and does not know how to find his way home, and just needs to be found.

Anyone in that vicinity- or even a rather large radius- keep your eyes open and alert for a young man who may seem a bit 'off' to you. And by now he would likely have some beard growth and perhaps not smell clean. So eyes open for someone who might appear to be a homeless person as well. Erik is largely nonverbal, but that does not mean he can't hear people calling for him. If he is lost and scared and largely non verbal (especially if he is in a nature-type setting) I would think he might be at the point of making a keening or cooing type sound to sooth himself- but that's just a guess on my part. Listen carefully if you're out walking your dog or jogging in parks, by the ocean, etc.

    Hoping Erik comes home today.....
