On May 2, 1960, a skinny kid from Endicott, N.Y., arrived in Chicago and signed on at WLS-AM (890) as the new Top 40 stations nighttime screamer. Five decades later, Radio Hall of Famer Dick Biondi, 77, is still playing the music that rocked Chicago from 7 to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday on oldies WLS-FM (94.7). To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Biondis debut on WLS, the Citadel Broadcasting station will air a not-to-be-missed live special from 7 p.m. to midnight on May 2.

I just love Dick Biondi! I think he sounds fantastic on the air, love that he closes his show each night with Goodnight Sweetheart. I prefer his friday evening request shows now because there is too much 70's and 80's music the other nights of the week.
Amazing at 77 he is still on the air 5 nights a week. This show is a sure not to miss for any oldies fans and those of you in the music/dj industry.
