LINCOLN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men in connection with the murder of a Catawba man.

The body of Zackary David Young, 24, was found in a field near the intersection of Summerrow Road and Null Road on Saturday, April 24.

The sheriff's office received a call about shots fired on Null Road around 10:30 p.m. Friday. Nearby residents told deputies they saw a dark-colored SUV in the vicinity which appeared suspicious.

When deputies arrived, they didn't see anyone, but they did find some items on the shoulder of the road which appeared suspicious.

Around 8 a.m. Saturday, deputies were called back to the intersection of Null Road and Summerrow Road after someone discovered Young's body. The sheriff's office said it appeared he had been shot.

Deputies also found a dark-colored Durango SUV less than a mile from where Young's body was discovered. The SUV was reported stolen out of Hickory.

Late Monday afternoon, the sheriff's office said investigators were able to link the stolen SUV to Young's murder.

Earlier this week, the sheriff's office was looking for Antionio Foster and Andree Nixon as 'persons of interest' in the case.

Foster was taken into custody for unrelated charges and remains in the Lincoln County Jail. He has not been charged with any crime in connection with Young's murder.

As of Thursday afternoon, the sheriff's office said they were still looking for Nixon. The sheriff's office said they are also now looking for Byron Bost Jr. Both men are wanted for questioning in the case.

Nixon is described as a black male who is 6' tall and 195 pounds. He has brown eyes and a shoulder-length hairstyle.

Bost is a 23-year-old black male. He is 5' 5" tall and weighs around 185. Bost is known to hang out in the Hickory area.

LINCOLN CO., N.C. -- Detectives arrested 23-year-old Byron Jeffrey Bost Jr. early Sunday morning at an apartment in Lenoir.

Bost is charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of 24-year-old Zachary Young last week.

Young’s body was found in a field south of Maiden, near the intersection of Summerrow and Null roads, on April 24.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office haven't said how or if Young and Bost knew each other.

Bost is scheduled to appear in court Monday.

Investigators said they are looking for two more people who they think could be connected to the case.

Tyrone Fitzgerald Brice, 29, of 3020 87X 12th Ave. SE, and Byron Jeffery Bost, Jr., 25, of 2016 Landing Ave., both pled guilty to three separate charges including second-degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon...

After charges were consolidated, the two were each sentenced to 238 to 295 months for murder and 97 to 126 months for the robbery charge...

Andree Dontae Nixon, 27, of 1109 Catawba St. in Lincolnton, who also pled guilty in December, will serve at least a decade in a state correctional facility, also for possession of a firearm by a felon and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Alamar Teracious Edwards, 19... was sentenced to between 23 and 37 months, authorities said.
