CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -
Two people were taken to the hospital after stabbing in east Charlotte involving a man and his daughter.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. at 2121 Milton Road.
According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, a man was in his bed sleeping when he was repeatedly stabbed by his daughter
in the right arm and head.
The man, 44-year-old Jeffery Polk
, suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Main in Charlotte.
The daughter was also cut and injured during the struggle. She was taken to the hospital as well.
At this time, police have not released a motive for the stabbing.
