    Chief medical examiner to retire

    "State health officials said Monday Dr. John Butts would retire from office July 1."


    "State Health and Human Services Secretary Lanier Cansler says Dr. Deborah Radisch has been appointed to replace Butts."

    So, what does this mean for cases where Butts performed the autopsy? Does he testify after he retires? In the NC case Dr. Simmons was also listed on the autopsy report. Would he testify instead?

    If he is summons to appear in court on this case, his retirement will hold no bearing..Only if they pass away will they not be summond
