Philly man offers guilty plea in Penn Wood senior's death - March 2011

A grieving father told a judge that the April 2010 shooting death of his 18-year-old-old son, who at the time was a student at Penn Wood High School and was looking forward to college, "has torn the family apart."

"The family continues to hemorrhage day in, day out, every hour, every minute. The pain is something we will live with until we die," said the emotional father as his son's killer Tristin Fisher, 19, admitted guilt Friday.

Judge Frank T. Hazel also formally sentenced Fisher to serve 20 to 40 years in jail, the maximum under third-degree, in the slaying.
