Domestic Dispute Call Leads To Child Pornography Bust

Frank Hottenrott I guess has trouble getting along with family. Fort Lauderdale police were called to the home of Frank Hottenrott on a Domestic Dispute call.

Too bad Frank is a pervert who had over 1,200 images of child pornography and 300 videos. What is up with these degenerates? There's never just a "small volume". More horrifying is it always makes me physically ill knowing that many children are being victimized.

Hottenrott was arrested. Doesn't say what his bail is here. Good on whoever called up on this guy. Oh and he admitted the pornography was his. Kids around age eight although one was a little baby. May Hottenrott rot.

    Good question, Soulmagnet.

We may have the answer here at the link. LE went in, but so did ICAC. The Internet Crimes Against Children. Apparently the guy wasn't even there and they had to contact him. Read him his rights and all. So maybe somebody that lives with him called just for that reason?

He confessed that all the vile stuff was his. He's up on $10,000 bond. Court pending.

So the police go to his home on a domestic disturbance call and he's not there? And how does ICAC show up at the same time, if someone only tattled on him that day (April 10)? The way that article was written is confusing.

In any case, I'm glad this puke is locked up. Three months old...my god.

Hotenrott? Funny how his last name describes his eventual afterlife.

Authorities on Wednesday arrested a local man on charges he downloaded more than 1,500 images and movies depicting child pornography.

Frank Hottenrott, 56, was being held Wednesday evening at the Broward County Main Jail in lieu of $1 million bail. He has been charged with 100 counts of possession of child pornography.

Fort Lauderdale police, working with the South Florida Internet Crime Against Children Task Force, initiated an investigation on April 10, when officers went to Hottenrott's home after the report of a disturbance there. Officers at the home became suspicious that Hottenrott may have had illegal images on several of his computers. When detectives questioned him, they said Hottenrott confessed to downloading the images and movies, and surrendered his computers.

Police say that on the computers they discovered more than 1,200 images depicting child pornography and more than 300 movies of a similar nature. The movies included victims as young as 3 months old, police said.

I wrote the http://browardnetonline.com article, and wanted to clarify that it was not a $10,000 bond, but 10k per charge, so $1 million. Thanks for sharing the link.

Thank you, Broward. That was my mistake. $1 mill sounds way better.
