I have been following this young man's Everest summit bid for quite a few weeks, now... he is only 13, and 12 hours ago he called his mom from the summit to tell her that he was standing on top of the world! What a feat!!!!!
There is controversy surrounding his mountaineering feats, due to his age and the fact that his parents support his endeavors and do not hold him back. But, for the moment, I am cheering his Everest success. He has been successfully climbing all over the world and hitting summits since the age of 9!

Anyone wanting to trek his descent, you can click on the link below and follow on the map, as he is equipped with a GPS tracker that gives updates of his team's position and such. For the past 2 days I have watched it on pins and needles because regardless if he should be doing it or not, and regardless of the fact that I question such dangerous adventures, he IS up there and I want the kiddo to make it down safe.
