Major Child Pornography Bust Made
Authorities have reported that they have made one of the largest online child pornography busts in history.
"Operation Nest Egg" has been a two year investigation that was out of Indianapolis. There have been 50 arrests and 16 children have been identified. This whole sick, sordid group was on an password protected bulleting board that traded child pornography. At one point the board had aver 1,000 members. Dear Lord. Four of the members can still only be identified by their passwords that's how sophisticated these creeps are.
Way to go Indianapolis.

Authorities have already prosecuted people. They couldn't say anything until they found the last guy that they identified. He was hiding out in a cabin down in Louisiana. That man is Edward Oedewald aged 47. They had a SWAT team and all go in after him.
From some of the news articles I gathered:
Roger Lee Laughry aged 57 of Baltimore, Maryland
Thomas Lenti aged 42 of Brooklyn, New York
William Gregory aged 56 of Chester, Virginia
Patrick Jansen aged 28 of Lockport, New York
Kevin Harkless aged 53 of Cooper Hill, Virginia
Charles Werenczak aged 47 of Jamestown, New York
Jonathan Hans aged 37 of Woodstock, Virginia
All belonged to the site and played different roles in the conspiracy. Some were already Registered Sex Offenders. Alot of them have Myspaces and Facebooks. Of course. Laughry has a My Yearbook and he says he's engaged and in love. At some point he was his own political party. Yep.

And the dominos start to topple.......
2 men sentenced in Ind. for online child porn ring
"INDIANAPOLIS – A Baltimore man who helped run an online message board where members shared millions of child pornography images insisted Wednesday that he only took part so he could bust the ring.
But prosecutors in federal court in Indianapolis don't believe Roger L. Loughry had any intentions of turning in members of the Cache website. He was sentenced to federal prison Wednesday along with another ring member. Loughry received a 30-year sentence for his role....."
"....The convictions stemmed from a two-year international investigation called Operation Nest Egg. The group's alleged ringleader, Delwyn Savigar, is serving a 14-year prison term in England for sexually assaulting or trying to abuse three underage girls.
The Justice Department said 26 people have been charged in the conspiracy, and 20 have been convicted. Authorities are still trying to identify four suspects known only by their screen names.
Defense attorney Joe Cleary said he believed Loughry, a candidate for Baltimore mayor in 1999, was mentally ill....."
"....DeBrota said the case is believed to be the largest child pornography conspiracy ever prosecuted.
The password-protected Cache website had 1,000 members at its peak and numbered more than 500 when it was shut down in 2008. Members were granted access to the hierarchical group's website by invitation only and had to be vetted by senior members. Only the most trusted members controlled the huge stash of child pornography, and members advised one another in forums on how best to cover their tracks.....

Belinda and Miss Izzy I can't say thank you enough for keeping us up on these busts.
Of all the times for me to spell a name wrong. Loughry not Laughry.
Oedewald? Was that the guy the dude who shot himself down South lived on his property? Maybe I have that mixed up with another sort of long German name.
Well anyway, good. Glad they're getting locked up and it all figures in with the recent Indiana busts. How about the sheer audacity and gall of this guy saying he just joined to infiltrate? Gettahel*outtahere. Loughry. Real piece of work. As an aside I'll link to where it was him or his Senior who ran for some goverment position despite their assault charges, gun charges, drunk driving charges. It's on the right hand side. Now he's got child porn charges creeper.
Oh that Edward Oedewaldt is a real bugger. Transient, huh? Same guy who bragged he'd never get caught. Now he's missing again? Hello!!!!!!!!!! Took himself down to Arcadia in a dang cabin. Now where is he?

There's a guy just indicted out of Cumberland, Maryland that is inadvertently connected to this sting.
George Sell is a 69 year old man who ran a Website called Country Lounge.Sell is connected to Scott VanDorp who was busted in Operation Nest Egg.

Federal prosecutors said Oedewaldt handled technical matters for Dreamboard, including the encryption of posts so that law enforcement could not catch participants on the board and the mentoring of members.
My Facebook page; I am grateful for the fact that two people who joined had colonoscopies, discovered cancer and are on the way to healing through treatment. Colonoscopies save lives! [A 3rd person has just been added. 8/7]
