Police Search For Missing South Los Angeles Woman
LOS ANGELES (CBS) ― The Los Angeles Police Department is asking for the public's help in locating a 26-year-old South Los Angeles woman who disappeared last month.
Caroline Mmary was last seen at a home near 88th Place and Broadway on April 2.
Family members told police it's out of character for Mmary to lose contact with them for an extended period of time and for missing work.
Originally from Tanzania, Mmary came to the United States to study nursing at a local college in Long Beach.
Mmary is married and has a 3-year-old daughter and a 6-year-old daughter living in Africa.
Mmary is described as African with black hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.

The body of Caroline Mmary has been released by Police and is currently at Angelus Funeral Home

The body of Caroline Mmary is expected to leave for Tanzania within a week. On behalf of the family of Caroline Mmary, the Tanzanian Community in Southern California would like to thank everyone for your moral and financial support during this difficult time. We hope and pray that the family of Caroline Mmary will continue to be strong and survive this tragedy.

On behalf of the family of our sister Caroline Mmari, the Tanzanian Community in Southern California is sad to update everyone that police have found the body of Caroline Mmari buried in the backyard of the home that she lived prior her disappearance. Currently the body is still with the police and will be released to the family once the investigation is completed. The husband of the deceased is already in police custody.
