Please don't play word games with me.
When we say victim friendly we mean all those that are immediately victimized by what appears to be a terrible crime. This includes the family that is missing a 7 year old child for the love of God.
You are free to discuss your opinions on statements made, possible doubts you may have or questions raised by the information or lack thereof.
But if you start throwing around careless accusations against the family or sleuthing out their personal information or discussing the color of lipstick someone was wearing, you will be given a no expense paid vacation.
If the situation changes and if the investigation by LE points back to the family then these rules will change. We roll with the news and as more information is revealed and as LE gives us information, we adjust.
As I have said, imagine this is your child and people are looking at YOU.
Moreover, stereotyping some of these players is positively embarrassing to the forum. KNOCK IT OFF!

All we are asking on this forum is for care and respect to be shown before throwing a family under a bus.A family that has a missing 7 year old.

We are not asking you to ignore behavior, statements to the press or anything else the family says or does. Feel free to discuss what you see and think. Link facts and stop rumors, that's what we like to do.

If you feel censored here then please post at a forum where they do not moderate and you can say anything you like. We do moderate and some people like it and some people don't. We know we cannot please everyone and so we do not try. We stay true to what we think is right and for now not accusing the family is in line with LE and that is the tact we will take. You can be suspicious of whomever you choose, just be cautious in your posting. As always it is not ok to sleuth family members on this board until they have been named as a POI or a suspect or LE leads us to believe they are being considered actively.

As always, if this changes we will roll with it and we will adjust. But to lay out a families personal affairs when they are not even on the radar at this time is just wrong. There will be plenty of time to investigate if things change and often they do.

Many of you continue to make comments ( direct and indirect) about your disapproval of our guidelines. It disrupts the flow of the thread and we are all growing weary of it.

I am asking, again, to please stop.

Thanks.

Well I think there is a perp in this case, as I have said before, LE and family knows who it is....
I also think the perp is under age, therefore, all the secrecy... I don't really know anything abuot the law, but, IF the perp IS underage, I don't think the LE/FBI are allwoed to flash is pic and tell the world who they are looking for.....

With a little boy's life on the line I think if they knew who it was regardless of age we would hear about it because they would act on it.

Second! oh no. THIRD!

(Darn you Zaha! & RubyRed)

:floorlaugh:

Thank you Cubby for this nice new thread.

Get your tinfoil hat at the door. ;)

hmmm white truck? white beetle?

The above quote was in reference to what they might be looking for with extra video footage..

There's that white truck brought up again. The one Jim Kelley reported being down his private road twice, at 3pm and 2AM. The private road that is right off of Cornelius Pass. The thing that Kelley called bizarre and unheard of.
hmmm

That's the 3rd time I've not liked that white truck.

I think there could well be a perp, but I don't think LE knows whether there is or not. I honestly think every move LE makes, such as asking for vidoe of certain areas, just adds to my belief that they are trying to cover all possible scenarios. The more things they investigate, the better chance they have of hitting on something, IMO.

Searching near the school is investigation 101; what to do when nothing is happening in
a case, go back and search near where child was last seen and just hope it is not too late. Also if they had a perp in mind and yet continue to search every square inch of this wooded land...why would they think he would be alive? I'm not sure they think that anyway, but don't dare say otherwise.

I don't think LE wants media to ask too many questions about the search, as the term "natural progression", if that is what it was, will only take them so far in answering why it took so many days to ask for help searching. JMO

OK... Lets play a game. Our children go missing.

1. Your husband work in LE field. Mine works in the trucking industry.

Obviously, your husband would know the in's and out's of how an investigation is supposed to happen.
Mine on the other hand, knows nothing about how the LE operates OR how they SHOULD operate.
Your husband is going to do everything in his power to get this done PROPERLY, to attempt bring his child home. He will make SURE it is done...he KNOWS the law and how it operates
My husband, not knowing what exactly should be done, trusts the LE is doing EVERYTHING they should, he would trust that they are.... BUT ARE THEY??? He wouldn't even know if they were or weren't.

I do not beleive LE/FBI missing children get "specail" attention. They are getting the attention EVERY missing child is SUPPOSED to get!!!

BTW: This case is the LE working at it's finest - why? IMO, it's because they are FORCED to. Kyron's step-dad is LE.

I don't know how to make a pretty video insert link (someone else feel free) but if you at all are interested in how there is like nothing out on Cornelius Pass Road, (by the school) watch this video someone made. It's not the greatest quality, I'm almost sure he's coming out on to Corn Pass from Skyline Road, and at around the 4 minute mark or so on the left you will see Sheltered Nook Rd zoom by you.. It ends at the intersection of Cornelius Pass and Hwy 30 (NW Mt St Helens Rd)

Gives you a feel of the terrain for sure..

I think most SO and killers know how LE works. They start with ground zero, where the child was last seen and they start with family, friends, people close to the circle of the victim and work there way out. They check all RSO in the area and work there way out of the grid to widen the search. So if someone knew that Kyron wouldn't be missed for awhile, plus the above, they would get a good start on LE. Kids come into contact with hundreds of people, if you include the internet it is thousands, some they don't even realize. His face was on the websites and so was the family and the pictures of the farm. It just isn't safe anymore to share like this.

Media Questions from Family

1. What is Kyron like? What is his standout attribute?
He has a very quiet and loving personality, demonstrating warmth and enthusiasm for the people and activities that he loves. Some of things that he enjoys are playing with his Hot Wheels cars, fishing, his artwork, playing with Bootsy and Ernie, and loves to go on trips where he gets to fly on airplanes.

Kyron easily makes friends with other kids his age. He has a belly laugh that is infectious when you hear it and you can’t help but to laugh too. He is quick witted and can make any situation funny. He looks up to his big brothers and enjoys spending time with them, they dance and rock out in the living room. Kyron is the type of kid that can play by himself for hours or quickly become the center of attention with his family.

2. What does Kyron want to be when he grows up?
A Police Detective and investigator.

3. What was Kyron looking forward to doing this summer?
Kyron is looking forward to going on his annual family trips; he is going to California to spend time with friends, a trip to Seaside for his birthday, a houseboat trip on Shasta Lake in August and a Hellgate Jet Boat excursion in July. He got a new fishing pole for Christmas that he has been practicing with in the backyard so he has been looking forward to the many camping and fishing trips.

4. We were wondering about the t-shirts the family wore at the press conference yesterday – were they made and designed by the family?
It was a collaboration of efforts joining Taylor Made Printing and Lithia Motors LAD advertising agency to design, print, and ship the T-Shirts to the family. All labor and materials were donated.

5. Was Kyron in a good mood the morning he disappeared?
He was very excited about his Red Eyed Tree Frog diorama and poster board that he and his dad had been working on. Kyron was very proud of the project because he had done a lot of the diorama himself.

If a perp was holding Kyron in a transient camp in the woods, I wouldn't think the perp would have a computer to look at FB, or a tv to watch the PCs. So it also doesn't make sense to me (at this moment) that LE was "speaking" to a transient camping perp. Just a person living more normally....

If the perp was homeless or camping in the woods, I'd guess he'd be leery of going to a payphone to make a ransom call, thinking he'd look "out of place" or maybe be recognized as "a creepy guy hanging around the school area".

Since noticing some 2nd-floor school-room windows might be too high to see out of (except sky) when seated, maybe if no-one was at that particular door, the perp could've gestured to Kyron to come out, yet not be seen himself from down the hall. Maybe the windows are different on the first floor, though?

Odd thoughts: If Kyron was grabbed and sedated (like chloroformed) he could actually fit in some adult-sized backpacks... strange, I know, but he'd fit in some of mine.

Wonder if any science projects involved ether or chloroform (like the older kids' projects)? Like a bio dissection project or something?

Anything I think of, LE would already have thought for sure --- like searching above ceiling tiles, in air or other ducts, etc. Kyron was so small he could be hidden, God forbid, in a place like that inside multiple sealed plastic bags after an assault or to cover an "accident" that someone felt a bit responsible for.

If Kyron was seen by someone near a doorway at around 9AM, was he waiting for a pre-arranged pick-up by someone he knew? The thought of it being (possibly) "on the hour" of 9AM or 10AM makes me think of the timing of an arranged pick-up.

I removed a post of mine from the last thread that mentioned INTEL was donating food for the searchers, and the searchers were being housed in an unused correctional facility nearby. Don't know if anyone else reposted this. Might be why they have all the food and liquids they need.

I feel funny about Kyron's teacher writing such a brief statement (probably edited by LE, is why) that didn't mention being so sorry or heartbroken that Kyron's disappearance (may have) happened "on her watch". I guess there's liability to consider too, like you're never supposed to apologize to the other driver if you're involved in an accident...

Posters mentioned that at the PC today it was mentioned that they knew about the events of Friday night. What the heck? The truck at 2AM (probably Sat. by then)?

JMHOs

THANK YOU for this video.

I have not read all the threads and don't recall noticing this, but is it possible someone abducted Kyron as payback to his step dad since his step dad is LE? Has that been discussed?

Hi Cubby,

glad to see you here! I think someone did bring that up about payback but I don't recall the answer or if it was a possibility.
