Fidel Urbina is a fugitive wanted out of Chicago, Illinois since 1998.

An auto mechanic by trade, Fidel Urbina kidnapped a young woman named Diana Vasquez he met at a bar and took her to his auto body shop where he brutally raped her on Mar 1, 1998. He took her to his apartment where he raped her a second time. She escaped after he fell asleep. He was arrested and allowed to post bond while waiting trial for aggravated criminal sexual assault for Oct 27, 1998.

On Oct 21, 1998, Fidel Urbina encountered 22-year old Gabriella Torres. A student who came into Urbina's shop to get her brakes fixed. He proceeded to rape, beat and strangle her to death. Then he put her corpse into a stolen and chopped 1990 Chevy Lumina. He got two accomplises which were arrested soon after to push the vehicle into a nearby alley. He doused the remains with gasoline and set them on fire.

After years of searching, in 2006 a Mexican Federal Magistrate signed an arrest warrant for Fidel Urbina. This came after Chicago Cold Case Detectives learned he may be hiding out in the Mexican Border City of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. On May 15, 2010 he was aired on the FOX television show, America's Most Wanted.

I take this fugitive case seriously because Juarez, Mexico has an issue with females turning up missing or murdered, with a lot of the dead being raped and mutilated.
