Party of Five actor Jeremy London, who is in recovery for his substance abuse problems, alleges he was kidnapped by two men and forced to buy booze and smoke crack.

I won't air my suspicions here too much, since victims do deserve to be believed, but I will say this does raise my eyebrow a tad.

ETA: Just to be clear, I don't know any details on this, so I'm not calling anyone a liar. This is just a pretty bizarre story, true or not.

Okay, my eyebrow was raised w/ yours, but CNN is now reporting they've made an arrest! Perhaps truth is stranger than fiction!

Well, I guess celebrities do attract weird attention at times - perhaps someone spotted him, knew he was in recovery, and decided to get some entertainment out of that...?

In any case - very bizarre.

As to truth being stranger than fiction, wasn't there a Six Feet Under episode in which someone was kidnapped and forced to smoke crack?

I wish someone would kidnap me and force me to eat Rocky-Road ice cream. :snooty:

Though, the report does say he feared for his life for several hours.

So maybe it wouldn't be worth it, even for ice cream. ;)

ETA: Or, it would have to be really good ice cream.

This reminds me of what happened to this guy....

Thanks for the link, SuziQ! That is an amazing story- and I'm so glad that Stanley made it out alive!

I'm also glad that Jeremy London is okay. I remember watching him on 'Party of Five'.

~ To my dear friend, Dr. WhyaDuck: I don't remember the episode you referred to, but I have to say, I just loved the series, "Six Feet Under". The first five minutes of each show, depicting how that episode's dead body died, was some of the most riveting t.v. I have seen, lol. I'll never forget the party girl who stuck her head out of the sun-roof of the limo. Yikes!

~ Also to Dr. Ducky: There is no such thing as 'not good' Rocky Road ice cream! Just sayin'. :p

At first I must say it sounded fishy to me! But, I'll give the guy a break..Although I like Jeremy I always preferred his twin brother Jason from Dazed and Confused!

Jeremy London’s Family Doesn’t Believe Him

Considering the entire Internet went “Wait. Wasn’t that a Six Feet Under episode?”, the house of cards that is Jeremy London’s *advertiser censored**ed-up story about being forced to smoke crack by kidnappers is already falling apart. In an interview with E! News, Jeremy’s mother and twin brother Jason say he needs to get help:

London accused pleads not guilty

One of the men accused of kidnapping Jeremy London has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges including robbery and possession of stolen property.

Police arrested one man, Brandon Adams, 26, of Palm Springs, in relation to the alleged incident and on Tuesday he was charged with kidnapping, robbery, possession of stolen property, vehicle theft and carjacking.

Adams has now pleaded not guilty to the charges and remains in jail, according to Michael Jeandron, a spokesman for the Riverside County district attorney's office.

Jeremy London’s family, perp’s friends cast doubt on kidnapping tale

London’s relatives aren’t the only ones insinuating that the actor may not have relayed the night’s events accurately- neighbors of suspect Brandon Adams don’t entirely buy the story, either. RadarOnline spoke with one of the man’s neighbors, who rejected the idea that Adams had “forced” London to do anything:

“I don’t believe it,” a neighbor – who wished to remain anonymous – told RadarOnline.com about the charges Adams forced London to smoke drugs

“Brandon probably was doing drugs WITH that actor, and the guy just said he was forced to smoke because he knew drugs were in his system.”

If this does turn out to be a fake, I am saddened he would go so far as the accuse/charge someone for it.

Weird - and looking like very sad - case.

I have to admit... I've read about this everywhere, and if his family is saying he's not all there and needs help, then I believe it...

Those were some mighty nice kidnappers to share their drugs and drive Jeremy's wife home mid kidnapping... especially on his birthday... ;)

My guess is he was due to go for a pee test due to his recovery and knew the drugs would be in his system so he tried to throw his party buddies under the bus... pretty lame if you ask me...

I'm feeling really bad for the guy who got arrested. That's not cool.

EXCLUSIVE: Man Jailed For Kidnapping Jeremy London Claims They 'Partied Together' That Night

http://www.foxnews.com/entertainmen...eremy-london-claims-partied-night/?test=faces

I know!

It's weird how the story seemed to change from, at first, a stranger abduction while changing a tire, to the kidnappers dropping London's wife home and then the crack, and now it seems that London and the "kidnapper" were friends.

If he's just throwing this guy under a bus, that is simply horrible.

I feel terrible for this little boy - being taken away from your parents must be a nightmare for a small child.

ETA: This is not a comment on whether it's best for him to be removed or not - just a general one on how hard it is on these kids to be removed from home. MOO.
