Updated: Friday, June 18, 2010, 6:44 AM

Various reports poured in Thursday from different social media outlets claiming breaking developments.

Earlier in the investigation, online commentary regarding the behavior of Kyron's family prompted sheriff's officials to address some of the public speculation directly.

Despite the many rumors surrounding the case, investigators have remained focused on the task at hand, Lindstrand said.

"They're on their mission and their mission is to find Kyron and bring him home," she said. "They know that these rumors are not true."

Skyline School students and their parents have been asked to answer a questionnaire about their memories of 7-year-old Kyron Horman's last day there.

The questionnaire was prepared by the Multnomah County Sheriffs Office. A copy was obtained by KPAM 860. It asks students about seeing Kyron at the school on Friday, June 4, and whether they saw him in a white Ford F250 pickup truck. Kyron's stepmother, Terri Moulton Horman, owns a similar truck and took him to the school that morning.

Watch out for Kyron Horman Money Scams
PORTLAND, Ore.--A warning from Multnomah County Sheriff's deputies. Con-artists are looking to profit from the emotion associated with the disappearance of seven-year-old Kyron Horman. It turns out, someone is calling homes asking for donations for the "Washington County Find the Children Fund" and mentioning Kyron by name.

It's Day 14 in the search for Kyron Horman, but that doesn't mean interest is waning.

National 'People' Magazine profiled the disappearance and subsequent search for the missing 7-year-old Skyline School student.

Hundreds of people have been interviewed by investigators, but so far leads haven't amounted to an arrest or the location of Kyron.

Investigators are tight-lipped about anything related to the investigation.

“We can't release specific information about the investigation because we can't compromise it,” said Lt. Mary Lindstrand with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. “We will not compromise the investigation.”

In the ongoing effort to uncover details about seven-year-old Kyron Horman's disappearance, police on Friday were asking parents of Skyline Elementary School students some very specific questions.

KGW has obtained a questionnaire just sent to all the parents which asked, "Did your child see a white Ford F250 pickup truck on 6/4/10 at or near the school?" Police have not said why they were inquiring about this particular type of truck, but Kyron's step-mother, Terri Horman does drive one. The questionnaire also asked, "Did your child see Kyron's step-mom, Terri on 6/4/10, at or near the school?"

Kyron Horman's Stepmom Under Scrutiny in Missing Child Case

(June 18) -- The search for missing 7-year-old Kyron Horman is now focused on the boy's stepmother, Terri Moulton Horman, who was the last person to see Kyron before he vanished.

Two weeks after the little boy disappeared from his Oregon elementary school, Willamette Week reports that investigators have determined that Moulton Horman was not where she said she was on the day her stepson vanished.

The investigation into missing Portland boy Kyron Horman is now focused on his stepmother Terri Moulton Harmon, seen here with Kyron's father Kaine.
Police say cell phone records show that on June 4, the day Kyron was last seen, Moulton Horman was on Sauvie Island, five miles from Kyron's school.

http://www.portlandtribune.com/news/

Investigators trying to find missing Oregon boy Kyron Horman have released a flier asking the public if they saw the boy's stepmother near Skyline School on the day he vanished.

The Multnomah County Sheriff's Office also wants to know if anyone saw Terri Horman's white pickup at or near Skyline on June 4 - the day of the disappearance.

The sheriff's office has not described Terri Horman as a person of interest in the case.

Captain Jason Gates Statement 06-18-10

First, we want to dispel any rumors that Kyron has been located. He has not yet been found and we ask the community to continue looking. Kyron, we are still looking for you.

These erroneous reports have come through the social media. We ask the professional media to please continue to verify information with our PIO Lt. Mary Lindstrand before releasing. We don’t want false rumors to harm our investigation efforts and they are harmful to Kyron’s family as well.

The search continues and the investigation is continuing on several fronts.

I cannot comment on specifics but Can say that our detectives and searchers are continuing to follow-up on many leads to include establishing and verifying information relating to Kyron’s activities prior to his disappearance

As reported in the press conference on June 14 we are initiating a second canvas of everyone who was at Skyline School on June 4 in order to ensure that we reach every person who was present on that day:

Detectives work in this case is exhaustive and they, along with Kyron’s family, are asking for the community’s assistance regarding anyone who saw not only Kyron, but also who may have seen Terri Horman and/or the truck she was driving that morning. Terri is the last person known to have seen him before he disappeared.

Statement from Kyron Horman's Family

It has been two weeks since our son, Kyron, disappeared. For the last 14 days we haven’t been able to talk to him, see him playing around the house, or tuck him in bed. Any parent would understand the grief this has caused our family.

We are so grateful for the support and work of the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office as well as the hundreds of searchers, police officers and FBI for what they have done during the last two weeks. They have never met Kyron but we know that this has been very tough on them also.

To Kyron’s teachers and classmates, as well as the media and the community, thank you for your support in trying to find Kyron. Your interest and help is overwhelming.

We are sorry that we aren’t there today to stand with investigators, but please know that we fully support the release of this flyer. We want Kyron home and we hope this will help do that.

Father’s Day is Sunday. For the first time in seven years, we will not have Kyron around to hug and talk to. It hurts us deeply and our hearts are broken.

Please help bring Kyron home.

Lindsey Baum's mother offers support to Kyron Horman's family
Posted on June 18, 2010 at 4:15 PM

Updated today at 4:19 PM

OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Most parents don't know what it's like to have a child disappear.

Unfortunately for Melissa Baum, that's not the case.

"Until it happens to you," Baum told KING 5,"you don't have a clue."

Baum's 10-year-old daughter Lindsey vanished while walking home from a friend's house in McCleary, Wash., last June.

Melissa Baum recently wrote an email to the family of the missing 7-year-old from Oregon, Kryon Horman. Baum wanted the family to know there was someone nearby who could relate to what they were going through.

That was something she needed last year.

"I felt a lot more alone before I met with other families," said Baum.

Baum has not heard back from the Horman family.

Police Distribute Flyer With Photo Of Kyron Horman, Stepmother

BY KRISTIAN FODEN-VENCIL
Portland, OR June 18, 2010 4:18 p.m.

The form has a picture of the second grader and his stepmother, Terri Horman. It asks people whether they saw Kyron and who he was with. It also asks whether they saw Terri Horman and when, and about her truck -- a white Ford F-250.
Captain Jason Gates with Multnomah County was asked whether the stepmother is now a suspect or person of interest.
Jason Gates: We're not in a position to talk about people of interest. She's associated with the case because she's the last person to see Kyron."
