This is a new case that just showed up in NAMPN. I'm not too confident that I am on to anything, but there are alot of vital stats similarities and a pretty good facial resemblance. I decided to put it up for discussion, and any alternative possibles that anyone might come up with.

    Leslie Anne Locke Guthrie

    http://www.nampn.org/cases/guthrie_leslie.html

Although it doesn't say it in the NAMPN write-up, Leslie is the mother of Julie Ann Guthrie and Timothy Patrick Guthrie

This would seem to indicate a simple parental abduction, and also means that you would expect that the UID would have indications that she had given birth (although that is not always indicated in DoeNet even if it is the case). There is the mention of signs of recent weight loss.

She disappeared from Katonah, New York, along with her two children.

The cheeks and chin are what caught my attention, and since the UID's mouth is opened, you have to mentally subtract a little from the height of her face to compare the two. I wish there was a postmortem of this UID. The reconstruction looks like a trace of the PM photo.

As I said before, there isn't much to tie these two cases together other than a fairly decent resemblance and similarity in basic vital stats. Not enough IMO to run with.

You should contact placer county. It's so old they might help you out. Let me tell you about 3 times a week I pass by where they found her. There are little to no lights on that stretch of the highway, I can't imagine how it was 30 years ago.

What about Kimberly ann Stewart at the bottom of the page? Last seen in 77 and was seen on the freeway with a strange car. The height, weight, hair color are all close and the only thing I can see is just the wrong eye color. She lives in the county this uid was found in.

I might make a call tomorrow.

The UID's hair is described as "Dark Brown", whereas KLS's hair is described in Charley Project as "Brown to Blonde". The additional color photo seems to confirm that her hair is light.

Hmmm. She has to be from close by the area. You know what, it was winter when they found her wasn't it? When the snow gets bad on i80 the turn out where they found her is like a staging area for truckers. They take it as an alternate route because the snow and wind get so bad on i80.

Maybe a check of Utah, Nevada, Idaho might be in order.

here is the Namus link for this UID, no rule outs:

    https://identifyus.org/cases/6296

this missing person entered into Namus this year bears some resemblance to the UID in my opinion, Glenna West, missing from Michigan early Dec 1977. she was 34 y.o., 5'6" and 140 lbs:

She certainly fits the physical description close enough, and the time frame is right. Nothing in the circumstances one way or the other to make it more or less likely.

I saw that Glenna West was added to Charley today. Webrocket beat me to it, but I too thought of this case. The height difference bugs me the most...maybe I'm way off base here but if they got her height and weight from a DL I would say it couldn't possibly be Glenna. Exaggerated weight...sure...height...no....again just my opinion but I don't know too many women who hide their height, unlike a guy who may add an inch or two. I guess it depends on where the MP information was retrieved and from whom.

I see the weight difference as 5 lbs and the height 2". we've seen much greater disparity in actual matches.
