FL - Serial Rapist In Orange Co Florida

He kicks in doors, slips in windows. Wears gloves and masks, no fingerprints have been left. He has said the same thing to 3 victims.

He is described as a having dark skin, possibly in his late 20s, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 180 pounds. If you know something about this man you are asked to call CRIMELINE at 1-800-423-TIPS (8477).

3 rapes at near UCF student apartments....
By wearing a disguise, he has been able to slip in and out of apartments without being recognized, but he may have left a clue behind this weekend.

"We do have some evidence that we're working on that will hopefully turn into something to help identify the suspect," Zambouros said.

Deputies said in all three incidents, the assailant was wearing a mask and gloves and broke into the homes at a time when the victims would likely be sleeping.

Although investigators think the incidents at the apartment complexes are linked, they do not think they are connected to other sexual attacks in east Orange that have been attributed to the so-called "Eastside Rapist."

Zambouros said there are discrepancies that make investigators believe different suspects are at work. They also do not think the rapes in apartment complexes are linked to the slaying two years ago of UCF student Nicole Ganguzza, who was found dead near an east Orange jogging trail.

So there are at least 2 serial rapists in this area, lovely.

The most recent attack shows the rapist is getting bolder, carrying a knife and breaking in through a locked door. They don't know the serial rapist's name, but one investigator calls him an “animal.”

Investigators still haven't figured out who the East Side Rapist is. The man has gone after women who were jogging, striking from his hiding spots in the bushes.

“We haven't had an East Side Rapist incident in quite awhile. We've exhausted the leads at this time. We do have some evidence we're working on,” Zambouros said.

    Now that is frightening.

Poor Nicole. God rest her soul.

Hopefully they'll catch both of these freaks. Calling them an animal isn't right. An animal wouldn't do that to women.

I can't even imagine waking up to such a terrifying situation. I hope they catch these rapists, and quickly.

The rapist struck again this past weekend but with leads and surveillance they were are to make an arrest.

"Orlando police arrested 22-year-old Fernandito Carpio Tuesday. Officers say he's behind two violent attacks at apartments near the Mall at Millenia, and Wednesday a judge ruled he was too dangerous to be released and denied him bond.

Investigators are comparing notes with the Orange County Sheriff's Office to see if Carpio is connected to other unsolved rapes in the area, including the so-called East Side Rapist. There have been a string of attacks on women in East Orange County, all unsolved. Since 2006, WFTV has reported on eight attacks, including the murder of Nicole Ganguzza, and they all happened within a five-mile radius of each other."

Here is a new article update on this guy and victims:
    http://www.wftv.com/news/24158704/detail.html

The most recent attack happened on July 2 at The Place at Millenia. Police believe Carpio followed a woman home from the grocery store and barged his way in through the victim’s apartment, used a carpet cutter to slash her throat and then raped her.
The other victim was strangled, he left both for dead. I hope they look at every move this creep has made since getting out.

    From that link...
The Sheriff's Office said it has not linked Pappas to the death of Nicole Ganguzza, whose body was found near a jogging trail in east Orange County in June 2008, but it is not ruling out the possibility that he is connected.
