Maybe we can help out with this one. This man was found dead by utility crews on David Branch Road off Jalapa Road near Interstate 26 in Newberry County, South Carolina on June 14, 2010. A cause of death hasn't yet been determined. He was white and 5'7" to 5'8".

I can't find any articles mentioning when he was thought to have died, but his body was in a condition that left only some of his tattoos visible -- and he had quite a few distinct ones. Images:

Tattoos:
Right arm, upper legs, left side of torso, left forearm - indistinguishable tattoos
Chest - skull, praying hands with "beer" on a banner, Asian figure (cat?) flipping the bird (thus part of this tattoo is censored in the illustration above)
Middle finger - spiderwebs (several tattoos)
Right leg - blue rose
Left leg - dragon with a dagger
Left forearm - nude woman riding a gun. One article says it's a gun, another says it's a tattoo gun -- maybe something like this Vince Ray pinup art? *WARNING: vaguely unsafe for work, image contains mild nudity* http://www.everyonedoesit.com/img/products/devil_tatoo_gun_t.jpg

Clothing & Jewelry:
dark-colored gray tank top
gray zip-up hoodie
dark-colored basketball shorts
white socks
"Sailor Jerry" hightop Converse tennis shoes, image available at the first link I posted. They're covered with more tattoo-style art.
Stainless steel square-shaped necklace and bracelet
Pill container on a necklace -- purely decorative or indicative of a medical condition? No word on whether it contained any pills.

NEWBERRY, SC (AP, WLTX) -- Authorities in South Carolina say it took them six weeks, but they have finally determined the identity of a body found in woods just off Interstate 26.

Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster said Wednesday that 37-year-old Keith Richard Konkol was a drifter born in Wisconsin, who lived for a while in Florida and most recently had been seen in Kingsport, Tenn.

You may recall that in their efforts to determine who the man was, deputies released photos of a series of tattoos the man had on his body. Previous Coverage: Deputies Release Photos of Man with Tattoos

Foster says Konkol had no ties to South Carolina, which made it hard to figure out who he was after his body was found June 14 in a wooded area near Jalapa.

The sheriff says Konkol was traveling with another man from Florida to Tennessee when he died in his sleep along I-26 from an overdose of painkillers and other prescription drugs.
