MOYOCK, N.C.

A Currituck man, missing since failing to show up at work Wednesday, has his co-workers worried about his safety.

Paul Jandreau, 51, a retired master chief and employee with BAE Systems in Norfolk, did not come to work Wednesday even though he known to always be on time, said co-worker Chris Herring.

The Currituck County Sheriff’s Office and the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation are investigating, said chief deputy Sandy Casey.

When Jandreau did not show up Wednesday morning, Herring and other co-workers went to Jandreau’s home in Moyock. His wife, Latisha, 38, said she did not know where he was, Herring said. Jandreau and his wife are going through a divorce.

Jandreau's cell phone was found by a man who made a call to Jandreau's brother, Mike, who told him to turn it in to the police. The man turned it in to the Currituck Sheriff's Office, Herring said. The sheriff's department declined to comment about the phone or where it was found.

July 03--MOYOCK, N.C. -- They call him "Doorbuster Paul," a nickname given Paul Jandreau, who arrives each weekday morning before 4:30 a.m. just as the 7-Eleven in Hanbury Village Shopping Center opens.

Except on Wednesday, "Doorbuster Paul" didn't show up as usual. Nor did he pick up a co-worker as expected or show up for work.

Currituck County, NC - The Currituck County Sheriff confirms the body of Paul Jandreau was found in his home this morning, and his wife has been charged with first degree murder. Lateshia Jandreau is apparently a professional body builder who currently works at Xe formerly known as Blackwater located in Moyock.

Paul Jandreau never showed up for work Wednesday morning, and his friends at B-A-E Systems in Norfolk called WAVY.com for help.

"We got a search warrant for the home when Mr. Jandreau's wife became uncooperative," says Sheriff Susan Johnson.
