James Edward Sims had three words for Lee County sheriffs detectives who showed up at his Lakewood, Calif., home today.
You got me, said 67-year-old Sims.
After almost 30 years, detectives arrested Sims on a charge of first-degree murder in the 1981 death of Roy Radabaugh in Fort Myers, a case that was featured on the Fox TV show Americas Most Wanted.
Sims first court appearance will be Tuesday in California. From there, authorities will determine his extradition to Lee County.
On Jan. 18, 1981, when a 29-year-old Sims allegedly shot Radabaugh execution-style in the parking lot of what was then the Fox Den Lounge on Fowler Street, according to the Lee County Sheriffs Office.
The two had been arguing over a woman, LaFonda Dalton.
