    MO - Alisa Maier, 4, Louisiana, 5 July 2010 - #2

    Please continue here.

    thread 1

While by the Grace of God Alisa was found safe, we still don't know who took her and why. There is so much more we need to know about this story, and who it was who took her. And to make sure the person or persons responsible are found and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law

When I read the article about her being found at the beginning of the first found thread there was link and it stated that there were no camera's at the car wash, but I hope and pray that since her parents were making dinner that she may have told this man she was hungry and he went thru a fast food drive thru (McDonald's, Etc) and they may be able to pull security tape from those places looking for a brown car with front end damage...I would also bet that if he took her to a motel or something overnight she would be able to describe that location to LE....I can tell you when my daughter was 4 she had an amazing memory and then when you add the emotional trauma that this had to have caused her, I bet LE will find out a slew of information from this precious angel.

She is such a sweet looking girl. I bet that whoever took her, just couldnt harm her. I bet she said something like, "Mister, when can I see my mommy? I miss my brother, I want my teddybear, when I go to sleep will you read me a story like my mommy does..... I bet she said something so innocent and sweet he just couldnt pull it off. Thank God! but I pray they find him soon before he decides not to have a heart and follow thru.

I was off the boards for a few hrs and have come back to this glorious news!

Earlier this evening I was getting so depressed at all these missing children and that makes it all so much more wonderful to have a happy ending for a change.

I hope you're right. It's just such great news to here that she is alive and unharmed.

Very good news! I woke up thinking about this case and thought I would check to see if there were any updates. So great she's found!

I'm somewhat familiar with this area, though haven't lived there in many years. Fenton is off Gravois Rd. (Hwy. 30) and while not located off a major interstate, its a busy suburb of St. Louis. Last time I drove through, a few years ago, I was surprised at how much it had grown, its not the small suburb it used to be.

The area she was dropped off in is truly the "old town", sort of a street off the main drag that connects to the Fenton Plaza - which used to be the main shopping strip in town. Hopefully the Phillips 66 station will have video evidence. IIRC, there also used to be a bank nearby.

I hope she'll be ok and hope they find this creep before he can harm anyone else.

St. Louis County police said several witnesses contacted them to report seeing a young boy unattended. Witnesses told detectives they saw the child walking away from a vehicle. After police met and spoke with the child, county police realized it was Maier.

Due to the ongoing investigation, authorities could not answer questions regarding the child's condition or why she may have been mistaken for a boy. Rumors that the child's appearance was altered after being picked up could not be speculated upon, investigators said.

Witnesses at the car wash reported the vehicle had a loud muffler and was missing its wheel covers on the driver's side.

A loud muffler should make the car stand out to police. Really hope they find him.

Here's a Google Map link to the car wash that looks like the same one in the KSDK photo. It's in the area I described above, in the Old Town section of Fenton, just off the old Fenton Plaza. I've actually used this car wash before, though not since around 1978. Surprised to see its still there.

Here is the P 66 station behind the car wash, on old Hwy 141

The Post Dispatch is reporting that her hair was cut very short. STLToday

I live close to this area and it's very busy. Lots of people. Interesting that this is the place that was chosen to drop her off.

From video of "press conference" announcing she had been found which is at this link:

    http://www.ksdk.com/news/local/story...6&provider=top

Alisa was "tired" but able to walk and talk to officers, what she is saying is confidential.

She was taken to the hospital, then reunited with her parents at the precinct, then expected to go back to a different hospital. They do not know what happened to her in the last 24 hours, that is why she is being checked out at the hospital.

They will not say if her hair was cut or if her clothes were changed. (I'm guessing that is a yes.)

Suspect: Early 30's, dark skinned white male.

Very very loud muffler, probably had a hole in the muffler it was that loud. Witnesses say it could have been a Ford Escort.

No known connection to attempted abductions in Iowa.

    News conference later today.

"I can't find words -- it's unbelievable. God was watching over that baby," said Kathy Tepen, Alisa's great aunt.

There is also a lot more detail in this article about the circumstances surrounding her abduction.
