After writing a song about missing children, man discovers he was one
Maurice Davis was watching a rerun of The Oprah Winfrey Show about missing children a few years ago when he decided to do something about the problem.
Then he found out he was one.
Davis, 27, was adopted when he was 2. The few times he'd spoken to his birth mother, she'd given him contradictory and confusing accounts of his past. "She just seemed like a storyteller," he said.
He and his brothers assumed they'd been abandoned by their father, about whom they knew nothing. His career as a singer-songwriter was warming up – he was about to record "Missing Children" for a potential first album – when a phone call made the song much more personal.

wow that's all i can say.we need to encourage harder sentencing on those that are harming our children. our children are worth it!!
stop the circus!! these children as all children deserve to be found and justice brought forth for what has happened to them!!

That's horrible that his biological mother did that.
Mr. Davis' song is beautiful.

I wonder if the adoption was legal or not and how the bio mom was able to go forward with an adoption without the fathers consent. I'm sure there is more to the story than was reported. I'm glad Maurice found his bio dad.~JMO~
