llegal Alien Child Molester Receives $4M In Lawsuit
    Joshua Jamison
The Obama Administration's failure to lock-down the southern border is now costing Americans more than just their lives, it's costing them money-a lot of money. The Examiner has more on the shocking story:

On April 17, 2009, the Orange County Board of Supervisors agreed to pay $3.75 million, plus an additional $900,000 in medical expenses to an illegal alien who was severely beaten by other inmates in the Orange County Central Jail. The Mexican national filed a lawsuit shortly after the incident.

Fernando Ramirez, 24, was in jail after being charged with molesting a 6-year-old girl at a local park. He eventually pled guilty to the lesser charge of battery against a child.

According to his attorney, Ramirez suffered brain damage and now needs help walking. Attorney Mark Eisenberg also claims that his client has been left with an intellect of a 4-year-old child.

Despite the dire financial crisis facing Orange County, Ramirez received the largest settlement ever awarded by the county for an in-custody incident. The Board of Supervisors made their decision in a closed-door session and have refused any comment on the matter.

This story has yet to be covered by the main stream media.

While I abhor any sort of child molestation, as an American taxpayer, I expect our prison guards to follow protocol and do their jobs. Celebrating the abuse of a prisoner does nothing but bring one down to a similar level of criminality and I'm unwilling to go there. Shame on those guards. Nobody's best interests were served...least of all the child's.

Sorry Missizzy, the only injustice I see here, is a child molester won a lawsuit. I couldn't give a rat's butt cheek that he was beaten stupid and the guards looked the other way.

I'm afraid that's not the way I look at life, Linda. I have the same rights if arrested that this man does. That's the way I gauge things. I expect better from prison guards in America.

This is insane!!! the child he molested should sue him and receive that money, she is the victim not him.IMO illegal Alien or American Child Molesters should all be put to death. He made a choice when he victimized a child. This is why our county is going to the dogs.In other countries, Illegals have no rights, why do they have any here?In Mexico a man was shot and killed because they thought he was Illegal,He looked too white to be a Mexican but he was.

I'm very torn on this one. While a lot of us hope for prison justice for perps because they get ridiculously low sentences, I can't say I am comfortable with that idea. Hoping for prison justice and then seeing prison justice leaves me a little cold. I hate the idea of all the special protections afforded child molesters, but on the other hand I don't like seeing someone beat to the point of permanent brain damage either. So, having very mixed feelings here.

ETA: But then, we also see this guys charges plead down to nothing, as usual, which makes me very angry.

Maybe he knows how vulnerable his victim was now. I just can't get all torn up over this. If he didn't molest the child he wouldn't have been in the jail. I don't worry about getting beaten in jail because I don't do things to put me there.

The guards and all law enforcement for that matter is vastly underpaid for the job they do.

I'm sorry, but when they do crimes such as this, they have to realize the consequences will be bad and frankly that child will probably never receive any thing for her pain and suffering. I just don't feel sorry for him.

I try hard to have this attitude. I do believe people should be kept as safe as possible....I dont think guards should beat prisoners, I dont think they should bribe other inmates to beat prisoners, I even think they shouldnt feed prisoners such crappy food.

yet...someone who committed a crime against a child....ends up getting whooped in prison even if steps were taken to seriously minimise the risk - I feel that is karmatic law.

I heard baby P's stepfather was scalded with boiling sugar water in prison. I wouldnt have wished it on him but I didnt shed tears for him. BTW he not only murdered baby P but was also convicted of raping a 2yo girl.
