    County law enforcement officials continue their search for 23-year-old Brian Kyle Plunkett, a Louisiana man who went missing more than two weeks ago.

    Tom Green County Sheriff’s Department investigators said they are working with “very limited information” and “very inconsistent stories” from those they’ve spoken to who could be connected to the case.

    A woman later identified as Kimberly Linthicum told investigators she was being followed by three vehicles after having an altercation.

    She met deputies at a convenience store at 29th Street and North Bryant Boulevard where she told deputies she and Brian Plunkett had driven to Chimney Rock apartments on Grape Creek Road, where Plunkett got into a dispute with someone. Linthicum told the deputies she and Plunkett left with three vehicles in pursuit.

    She said Plunkett told her to stop near Concho Drive and FM 2288, where he got out and told her to keep driving.

    Boatwright said since the initial report, Linthicum has changed her account of the location of where Plunkett was dropped off. Boatwright said Linthicum finally told her that she couldn’t remember.

    No sign of man after search

    Plunkett has been missing over a month
    By Jennifer Rios
    Saturday, July 17, 2010

    SAN ANGELO, Texas — At Grape Creek’s Allsup’s Convenience Store on Saturday, about a dozen men and women congregated in the parking lot, stocked up on cases of water and discussed a strategy for searching for a Louisiana man who went missing more than a month ago.

    During a five-hour hunt, the search party saw rattlesnakes, cactuses and brush — but no sign of Brian Kyle Plunkett.

    Missing man's family gets cryptic text message

    SAN ANGELO, Texas — The clues continue to become more and more specific, tantalizing the family of Brian Plunkett.
    <snipped>

    Bill Plunkett said the family later received a message saying Brian Plunkett, in his early 20s, had been maliciously run over at roads near Mount Nebo, so the family traveled from their home state of Louisiana Thursday and searched Saturday the area around Mount Nebo without any luck.
    Then the latest message came.

    Bill Plunkett keeps it on his phone just the way it came, in three separate text messages. His oldest son received the message through various Internet sources. It pinpoints the location using several natural landmarks: between the hills called Bean Hill and Ruby Point, some cliffs, a red rock and a gully.

    Once results are in from the Tarrant County medical examiner's office, his remains will be released to the family.

    "Well, we haven't got any information back from the coroner," Plunkett said Saturday. "I'm looking to hear something within the next two weeks."
