My first question while reading this article was "does Michigan have the 3 strike law"?If so, it looks like he is going away for good this time. I really don't understand why he is even out on the street right now. Seems to me that at least one young lady would still be alive if this was where he belongs!
I know about this because of my mother. She has always talked about a "cousin" of ours being murdered near Lexington. She knew about it before she discovered Ancestry.com (and said that we were kin to Pocahontas...) so I guess I believe her.
Her name was Betty Gail Brown and was murdered in 1961 near Lexington.
The few things I know about her murder is that it was considered part of the "Brassiere murders," could be related to Mr George and could have had some sort of "lesbian connection."
I read about George being involved in her murder a while back. Does anyone know anything that's come since? I don't know that ANY of what I've heard has been true (other than what what was talked about in the news, which would raise it above a mere rumor). Otherwise, just trying to keep this going to see if I will ever find any real answers to the mystery.

It would seem that Nolan Ray George was a serial killer who was active for at least 20 years.

Nolan Ray George was likely an experienced killer as early as 1961 when he was about 17 years old.
He was in Oakland County, Michigan in 1968 where he attacked and murdered three women:
Delores Blaszcyck
Frances Brown
Gwendolyn Perry
Between 1967 and 1969, there were seven unsolved violent murders of young women in the Ypsilanti/Ann Arbor area in Washtenaw County (just west of Oakland County).
These murders were referred to in the media as The Coed Murders. In 1969, John Norman Collins (he has a thread in this section as well) was arrested, and in 1970 was convicted of only one of the murders. Investigators felt that he had committed at least some of the other murders as well.
The Coed Murders bear some similarities with the murders committed by George. He was in the state during at least some of the unsolved murders. Perhaps he should be considered as a possible suspect.

It would be helpful to have a good comprehensive case summary of this guy. Perhaps it would help to connect him to other similar attacks and unsolved murders. There were very likely others.
