I recall that when we were looking at the Alcala photos, one of the photos was commented upon as having an unusually swollen looking ankle even though the unidentified girl appeared to be putting full weight on it. However, if the New Mexico Jane Doe here was one of Alcala's victims, that would mean that the estimated date of death was out a fair bit.

Ilene Misheloff had a lump on her left ankle, just as the Jane Doe did, but it indicates that Ilene's lump was on the outside of her left ankle. Jane Doe's lump was on the inside of her left ankle.

    http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...off_ilene.html

Ilene also had braces on her teeth. Only a few teeth were found from the The UID, but there probably would have been evidence of braces (either the braces themselves, or cement from the braces) if she had them.

    Ilene Misheloff's Namus page.
    https://www.findthemissing.org/cases/6410/0/

Her dental charts have been entered and her DNA tests are complete.
Jane Doe has only mitochondrial DNA.

Christina Lynn Carter from Alabama was pigeon-toed......

did a search on Charleyproject using "pigeon-toed". of the 3 hits, one was male, one was a female missing since 1979 and she would have been too old, and Christina Lynn Carter. The link states that authorities believe Christina's mother gave her to someone else to take care of. Christina's mother was found murdered. For the UID estimated death date, Christina would have been in the estimated age range if UID death occurred in 1985-1990 range. Here is her link: http://www.charleyproject.org/cases/...christina.html.

We may never know who she was if the family chooses not to have her name released . I am happy she was finally identified after all these years.

Similarly, I periodically google the recently identified Tallulah Jane Doe and it seems that no information has ever been released regarding her identity. I hope we find out information on both of these young women someday. Having said that, I'm still elated for them both to have their names back and that's the most important thing.
